Official: Piatek signs for Milan

Krzysztof Piatek has officially joined Milan in a deal worth €35m plus bonuses after 19 goals in 21 games for Genoa.

“AC Milan is delighted to announce the acquisition of Krzysztof Piątek from Genoa Cricket and Football Club. The Polish forward has signed a contract with AC Milan until June 30, 2023.”

The 23-year-old Poland international was picked up from Cracovia Krakow for just €4.5m in July and became an immediate sensation.

Official: Higuain joins Chelsea

Gonzalo Higuain has officially signed on loan for Chelsea from Juventus, via Milan. “When the opportunity presented itself, I had to take it.”

The striker arrived in London this morning for his medical and put pen to paper on the contract this evening, choosing the Number 9 jersey.

Milan-Piatek talks adjourned

It was believed Milan could finalise Krzysztof Piatek tonight, but haggling with Genoa postpones everything to Tuesday.

Multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia claimed the presence of Genoa President Enrico Preziosi at the summit, joining director of sport Giorgio Perinetti, the player’s agent and Milan chief Leonardo, meant a deal was imminent.

Piatek-Milan and Higuain-Chelsea imminent

Multiple sources claim Milan could secure Krzysztof Piatek from Genoa for €40m tonight, freeing Gonzalo Higuain for a Chelsea medical tomorrow.

Rossoneri director Leonardo met with Genoa director of sport Giorgio Perinetti this afternoon to discuss the proposal.

It’d be a loan deal with obligation to buy at the end of the season for €40m plus bonuses.

Milan present Piatek offer

Milan are meeting Genoa and Krzysztof Piatek’s agent, which would send Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea and Alvaro Morata to Atletico Madrid.

Multiple sources confirm Rossoneri director Leonardo, Genoa director of sport Giorgio Perinetti and Piatek’s agent met this evening to negotiate a fee for the hitman.

President Enrico Preziosi is also believed to be on his way to join the meeting, which would confirm a deal is imminent.

Sarri: Chelsea working on Higuain

Maurizio Sarri has suggested that Chelsea are 'working very hard' on a deal to sign Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain.

Chelsea are thought to be on the verge of agreeing a loan deal with Juventus for Higuain, who played his best football under Sarri at Napoli and only played the second half of Milan’s Supercoppa defeat on Wednesday.

When asked at a Press conference about how close his club were to the Argentine, he replied: “I don’t know.

Chelsea are on the verge of selling Alvaro Morata to Atletico Madrid, but only want to take Gonzalo Higuain on loan from Juventus via Milan, it’s reported.

Higuain ramped up rumours of his imminent exit from Milan, as he is only on the bench for tonight’s Supercoppa clash with Juve in Jeddah, officially due to a ‘fever.’

However, with Gennaro Gattuso’s comments over the last few days and reports from various sources, it’s evident Higuain is pushing for a reunion with his former Napoli Coach Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea.
