Juve snub Morata-Higuain swap?

Chelsea offered Alvaro Morata to Juventus as part of their Gonzalo Higuain bid, it’s reported, but the Bianconeri only want cash and won't force Milan.

Higuain is on loan to Milan for €18m with an option to buy at the end of the season for a further €36m.

Sky Sport Italia reiterate Juventus won't force Milan to interrupt the deal early, so would only give the all-clear if the Rossoneri accepted the terms first.

So far, that doesn't seem to be on the cards for Milan, who are eager to keep Pipita.

Higuain-Morata swap still on?

Milan reportedly still have the possibility of swapping Gonzalo Higuain for Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata as the Argentine’s agent is in London.

The Evening Standard maintains Higuain ‘wants to cut his season-long loan from Juventus short and move to Chelsea’.

Consequently, the newspaper claims his agent-brother Nicolas is in London, presumably to ‘sound out’ the Blues’ interest.

Mixed reports over Higuain to Chelsea

Marca is reporting Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain is ‘hours away’ from becoming a Chelsea player, but Sky Sport Italia disagrees.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Higuain ‘has already said yes’ to Chelsea and is close to finalising his switch.

Marca goes on to explain that the Blues will effectively take over Milan’s loan with a €36m obligation to buy and the Argentine’s €8m salary.

Chelsea resume Higuain pursuit

Chelsea are still determined to bring in Gonzalo Higuain, with Alvaro Morata potentially loaned to Milan and €36m paid to Juventus.

Milan took Higuain on loan for €18m with option to buy for another €36m to be paid at the end of the season.

However, with his poor form and Financial Fair Play problems, the Rossoneri are reconsidering the costly deal.

According to Sportitalia and The Sun newspaper, Maurizio Sarri still has his heart set on a reunion with his ex-Napoli hitman Higuain.

Higuain to leave Milan?

Tomorrow’s Spal match could reportedly be Gonzalo Higuain’s last for Milan, as he’s wanted by Chelsea in January.

The striker joined the Rossoneri from Juventus on an €18m loan in the summer, with a €36m option to buy.

However, the Argentine hasn’t scored in his last nine games, and both Tuttosport and La Stampa report he could play his final game for the club against Spal.

Juve decide Higuain-Morata swap

Reports of Gonzalo Higuain and Alvaro Morata exchanging clubs in January continue to gather pace, as Milan and Chelsea await the Juventus verdict.

The swap would allow Higuain to reunite with his former Napoli Coach Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge, while Morata is eager for a return to Serie A after struggling to adapt to the Premier League.

Juve are an essential piece of the puzzle, as they still own Higuain, who joined Milan on loan for €18m with option to buy at the end of the season for a further €36m.
