Dybala: 'Some didn't want Juve pay cut'

Paulo Dybala has confessed that some members of the Juventus squad did not want to take a pay cut at first, but captain Giorgio Chiellini took a proactive role.

Juve’s first team won universal praise after they accepted waiving their salaries until June, but Dybala admits there was some resentment prior to an agreement being reached.

“In the end we accepted, it was the right thing to do,” he told AFA Play.

“Captain Chiellini held talks with President Agnelli, then he put the matter to the team.

Dybala 'was on the verge' for Man Utd

Romelu Lukaku’s agent has revealed just how close Juventus star Paulo Dybala was to joining Manchester United. “It was on the verge of happening.”

Lukaku looked to be all set for Juventus last summer, with Dybala heading to United in a direct trade, but the deal collapsed and the Belgian hitmen ended up signing for Inter.

“It’s true, it was on the verge of happening,” Federico Pastorello confessed to Tuttosport.

Dybala family get all-clear

Paulo Dybala’s family have been given the all-clear for coronavirus, with the Juventus forward set for another swab next week.

Dybala’s family members had visited him in Turin recently so had to go into self-isolation on their return to Argentina.

The 26-year-old tested positive for COVID-19 last week, so there were fears he could have passed the infection on to them.

However, Calciomercato.it reports their tests taken today came back negative.

Dybala: 'Could hardly breathe'

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala feels “better” now after testing positive for coronavirus but recalls how “I could hardly breathe”.

Dybala is currently recovering at home in Turin with his partner Oriana Sabatini, but the Argentine admits it has been far from plain-sailing, having developed “strong” symptoms.

“I developed strong symptoms, but today I already feel much better,” he told his club’s official YouTube account.

Police investigate Dybala's brother

Argentine police are investigating Paulo Dybala’s brother Gustavo after he broke the terms of his self-isolation.

Gustavo, his partner and mother were forced to stay in quarantine on their return to Cordoba from Turin after the Juventus forward tested positive for coronavirus.

However, Argentine sources claim residents have reported Gustavo to authorities after he chose to go out with his other half, just two days into their enforced isolation.

'Dybala swab set for March 31'

Paulo Dybala’s partner Oriana Sabatini says the Juventus forward has been prescribed vitamins and will have another coronavirus swab next Thursday.

Dybala is currently self-isolating with Sabatini at their home in Turin after they tested positive for COVID-19, and his girlfriend today gave an update on their condition.

“Now we’re feeling better, but two or three days ago I felt pretty poorly,” she told La100.

“We’ve been in isolation for nine days. The doctors told us they would do another swab on March 31.

All but three Juventus players cleared

Juventus have tested all their players for Coronavirus, claim reports, with only Paulo Dybala, Blaise Matuidi and Daniele Rugani proving positive.

The Bianconeri are one of the hardest-hit clubs in Serie A with three cases, as Dybala and his girlfriend were both confirmed to have the virus yesterday.

According to Sky Sport Italia, every single player has now been tested and they are the only positive results.

Dybala: 'I too have Coronavirus'

Paulo Dybala confirmed via Instagram that both he and his girlfriend have tested positive for the Coronavirus, making him the third Juventus player with the illness.

“Hi everyone, I just wanted to inform you that we have received the results for the Covid-19 test and both Oriana and I have tested positive,” wrote the Argentina international.

“Luckily we are in perfect conditions. Thanks for your messages.”
