Keep your Koul

Juventus played for a draw, but Napoli and Kalidou Koulibaly ensured it's game on for the title race, not game over, writes Giancarlo Rinaldi

It looked for all the world as if Juventus were going to get what they wanted yet again. With two results out of three in their favour, the Bianconeri played for much of their key Scudetto clash with Napoli as if their only desire were a draw. They held it in a loving embrace for almost the entirety of the match - until Kalidou Koulibaly powerfully tore it from their grasp.

Allegri considers Juve alternatives

Max Allegri is keeping Napoli on their toes with several potential changes to the Juventus line-up and tactical system this evening.

It kicks off in Turin at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT), click here for a match preview.

Going into the title fight, only four points separate these sides at the top of the table, meaning a Napoli victory would close the gap to one point with four rounds to go.

‘Insigne-Dybala a dream partnership’

Juventus and Italy legend Dino Zoff admits he would have loved to coach Lorenzo Insigne and Paulo Dybala together. “What fun that would’ve been…”

Insigne and Dybala will lock horns when Juve take on Napoli in a potential Scudetto decider this Sunday, and Zoff looked ahead to a ‘electrifying’ clash between the title contenders.

“Who I’d avoid out of Insigne and Dybala? Either because they’re both very good,” the former goalkeeper told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Dybala dropped for Juve-Napoli?

Miralem Pjanic, Mario Mandzukic and Stefano Sturaro are in doubt to face Napoli, but Juventus could drop Paulo Dybala due to poor form.

There are now only four points separating the top two in Serie A ahead of Sunday’s Scudetto showdown.

Pjanic and Mandzukic missed last night’s 1-1 draw at Crotone due to injury and today they resumed training, albeit on a separate schedule from the rest of the squad.

Sturaro played at the Stadio Scida and he has been diagnosed with an Achilles tendon issue, so is unlikely to be fit in time for Sunday.

Juve damage had been done

Controversial penalty call aside, Juventus dug themselves an avoidable hole with their first leg performance, argues Matthew Santangelo

Juventus’ heroic efforts in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final with Real Madrid came up short in the end, as a controversial penalty ruling in the dying moments saw Cristiano Ronaldo bury the decisive goal.

In the aftermath, the Bianconeri and fanbase pin-pointed the official’s decision to award Lucas Vazquez a penalty as the main reason they are going home, but it is hard to argue their first leg performance made the overall goal of advancing much harder than it needed to be.
