Sarri: 'Good Ronaldo rapport'

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has assured that he gets on just fine with Cristiano Ronaldo. “If someone gets angry about being substituted, it’s a positive thing.”

However, Sarri made it clear there was nothing to add to the ongoing media circus.

Dybala: 'Lost without the ball'

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala reveals “there are few things I like more than giving assists” and how “I want to be on the ball. I’m lost without it.”

Dybala was forced out wide by Max Allegri last season to accommodate Cristiano Ronaldo, but he has been played more centrally by Maurizio Sarri, already bettering his haul of two assists from the previous campaign.

“It’s difficult to separate the person from the player. I am quiet, both in private and on the field,” continued the 26-year-old to El Pais.

Juve not dependent on Ronaldo

Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain reunited to overturn Atalanta and prove Juventus are no longer dependent on Cristiano Ronaldo, writes Anthony Barbagallo

Gonzalo Higuain scored twice as Juventus came back to beat Atalanta 3-1, but credited the defence for “a heck of a performance.”

Musa Barrow had missed a penalty before Robin Gosens nodded in the opening, but a late flurry saw Higuain bag a brace and Paulo Dybala seal it in stoppages.

“We knew this was going to be an extremely complicated match, as Atalanta are so strong at home and they had taken the lead, along with missing a penalty,” Pipita told Sky Sport Italia.

Milan almost there with Juventus

Milan will be disappointed their tactical masterstrokes forced Juventus to play badly, writes Elio Salerno, but not enough to stop them winning again.

For regular viewers of calcio, it was a game that had an all too familiar feel about it. Paraphrasing a certain Gary Lineker, Italian football is a simple game, two teams chase a ball for 90 minutes and in the end, despite being second best, Juventus always win.
