Romagnoli: 'Milan flat on Dybala goal'

Alessio Romagnoli discussed the winning Juventus goal and urged Milan to play every opponent as if they were the Serie A leaders.

Paulo Dybala came off the bench and decided the match in Turin at the 77th minute.

“It’s disappointing. We were aware that we could put in a good performance, and we did, but naturally the result leaves a bitter taste in the mouth,” the captain told Sky Sport Italia.

Sarri: 'Juve thank Ronaldo'

Maurizio Sarri said Juventus “can only thank” Cristiano Ronaldo for pushing through pain to play and explained the on-going knee injury.

The Bianconeri needed a victory to go into the break for international duty as Serie A leaders, following Inter’s win at Hellas Verona, and they achieved it with substitute Paulo Dybala’s moment of magic against Milan.

Ronaldo left Juventus Stadium early

Cristiano Ronaldo left the Juventus Stadium before the final whistle against Milan, as he seemed irritated after his substitution.

The Rossoneri had the best chances, but when Paulo Dybala replaced Ronaldo on 55 minutes, it made the difference and La Joya scored the winning goal.

Ronaldo seemed visibly irritated at the decision, turned to mutter something in Portuguese at coach Maurizio Sarri and then walked straight down the tunnel.

Serie A stars in Argentina squad

Juan Musso, German Pezzella, Rodrigo de Paul, Lautaro Martinez and Paulo Dybala have all been called up to the latest Argentina squad.

Musso and De Paul have become stalwarts under Lionel Scaloni, despite Udinese’s wretched run of form, which has seen the goalkeeper concede 11 goals in their last two games.

However, there is still no place for Inter loanee Mauro Icardi, despite his return of seven goals in seven games for Paris Saint-Germain.

'Dybala can emulate Juve greats'

Paulo Dybala can “do what David Trezeguet, Mauro Camoranesi and Pavel Nedved did” at Juventus, according to Giorgio Chiellini.

Dybala was close to leaving Juve over the summer as they tried to bring in Romelu Lukaku, but the forward has gone on to re-establish himself for Maurizio Sarri’s side, scoring and assisting three goals each this season.

“Paulo’s a very quiet person, a golden boy who we’ve seen grow with us,” Chiellini told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Better late than never

It will go down as a Juventus victory, but Emmet Gates warns Maurizio Sarri needs to find a solution to defensive opponents.

Better late than never.  Paulo Dybala’s brace against Lokomotiv Moscow spared Juve’s blushes, but the win shouldn’t mask just how poor the Italian champions were.

Maurizio Sarri, who has for the most part got his team selection right so far this season, didn’t this time. He might’ve anticipated that Lokomotiv wouldn’t come to Turin to attack, and they didn’t, finishing the game with a paltry 23% possession.
