Inter threaten outcast Icardi

Inter are taking a hard-line stance on Mauro Icardi, reportedly threatening to keep him out for two years if he doesn’t accept a transfer.

The striker is under contract until June 2021 and has turned down every option, including Napoli and Roma, because he is determined he’ll either remain at San Siro or join Juventus.

Despite being told in no uncertain terms that he is not part of their plans, Icardi continues to barricade the exit.

United 'not interested in Mandzukic'

Manchester United are reportedly not interested in signing Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic.

Mandzukic had been drafted into negotiations between Juve and United over a proposed swap deal for Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku.

However, the Manchester Evening News argues that the idea of him joining the Red Devils is ‘unlikely’.

That is because Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are focusing on players aged 26 or under – reflected in their deals for Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire.

Amoruso competed with the likes of Alessandro Del Piero, Filippo Inzaghi and David Trezeguet for a first-team spot at Juve between 1996 and 2002 but nonetheless managed 29 goals and three Scudetti.

As an ex-Old Lady hitman, he was asked about the club’s desire to swap Dybala for Manchester United’s No 9.

Juve's Joya short-lived

Paulo Dybala arrived in a blaze of glory and certainly had some highlights, but Elio Salerno feels La Joya never quite delivered on his Juventus promise.

Rewind to June 4, 2015 where a baby-faced Paulo Dybala was in the process of completing his dream move to Italian champions Juventus from mid-table Serie A side Palermo. The transfer fee was sizeable for the then 21-year-old Argentine starlet, €32m payable over four years with potential for a further €8m in bonuses to be included.

According to Sportitalia and the Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United have proposed €11m per year plus bonuses, which is very close to the €12m plus add-ons demand.
