More to Juventus than Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo’s brace against Cagliari doesn’t mean Juventus only depend on the Portuguese star as many other players start to shine for the Old Lady, writes Lorenzo Bettoni from the Allianz Stadium.

Seeing the scoresheet of Juventus-Cagliari, one would think the Bianconeri have once again managed to take home the three points only thanks to the usual, superb Cristiano Ronaldo.

CR7 scored twice in the first half to give the Serie A champions a deserved victory over a Cagliari side that paid a high price for only thinking about defending a goalless stalemate. Cristiano broke the deadlock with a screamer from the edge of the box and made it two shortly after steering inside the net a corner kick from the right.

Juve want duo out in January

Juventus could sell Federico Bernardeschi in January and Sami Khedira is considering leaving the club, according to reports.

Juve would be open to selling the former Fiorentina player on a temporary deal to save part of his €4.5m annual salary.

Bernardeschi-Milik swap mooted

Juventus are planning to offer Federico Bernardeschi to Napoli in exchange for Arkadiusz Milik in January, claim reports.

Milik needs to move on, as he will be a free agent at the end of the season and has been frozen out for refusing to sign a new contract or accept a summer transfer.

If he doesn’t play, then he runs the very real risk of missing out on a call-up for Poland at the Euros.

According to Calciomercato.com, Juve hope to convince Napoli into a swap deal for Bernardeschi, who is struggling to make an impact in Turin.

Di Livio: 'Bernardeschi and Eriksen out'

Angelo Di Livio believes Federico Bernardeschi ought to leave Juventus, Federico Chiesa should’ve moved last year, while Christian Eriksen doesn’t deserve an Inter start.

The former Juventus and Fiorentina man spoke to TMW Radio and had some harsh advice for two players who also represented both clubs.

“Juve always get the best young players, so I know Chiesa was criticised in Florence for this transfer, but it had to happen. In fact, it should’ve happened a year ago,” said Di Livio.

Bernardeschi: 'No anger, only joy'

Federico Bernardeschi denies suggestions he is going through a ‘complicated’ period at Juventus, and assures there was no ‘anger’ in his Italy celebrations.

“I am very happy with the goal,” he told RAI Sport.

“I shouted during my celebration to express a great deal of joy, because it was a wonderful moment. There was no anger, I leave that to others.”

The Bianconeri stuttered again in Calabria against the newly-promoted side, forced to do without several key players including Cristiano Ronaldo and Aaron Ramsey.
