Rangers still in for Marchisio?

Former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio is reportedly still considering an offer from Scottish club Rangers.

Marchisio was said to have turned down an offer from Rangers last week as he was closing in on a free transfer to Monaco.

However, transfer expert Matteo Pedrosi assures Steven Gerrard’s side remain on the table for the 33-year-old, alongside Monaco and Brazilian outfit Flamengo.

Marchisio turns down Glasgow Rangers

Claudio Marchisio remains in negotiations with Monaco for a free transfer, but has reportedly turned down Glasgow Rangers.

The veteran Italy international is a free agent after his spell with Zenit St Petersburg, but said he won’t play for another Italian club out of respect for his former team Juventus.

Sport Mediaset report he is in advanced talks with Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.

Marchisio agrees Monaco move?

Former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has reportedly agreed to join Ligue 1 side Monaco on a free transfer.

According to Sport Mediaset, Marchisio is currently ironing out the final details of his move to Monaco at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan.

The 33-year-old is a free agent after leaving Zenit St Petersburg at the beginning of July.

He has always maintained that he would not return to Italy out of respect for Juve.

Marchisio: 'No Serie A or Suning'

Claudio Marchisio ruled out Brescia or any Italian club other than Juventus, while he turned down Jiangsu Suning “because they are too close to Inter.”

The midfielder is a free agent after his brief spell with Zenit St Petersburg and still recovering from knee surgery.

“It’s a different summer for me, the first time I haven’t been participating in pre-season training with any team,” confessed Marchisio to Sky Sport Italia.

Marchisio in Brescia talks

There are multiple reports and social media hints that Juventus icon Claudio Marchisio is returning to Serie A for Brescia.

The Bianconeri fan favourite spent practically his entire career in hometown Turin was released in September 2018 and moved to Zenit St Petersburg.

He made only 15 competitive appearances for the Russian club, scoring two goals, and is now a free agent.

Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and more all report Brescia have offered Marchisio a two-year contract worth €1m per year plus numerous bonuses.

Former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has thanked Zenit St Petersburg for helping him ‘during a difficult period’ in his life.

Marchisio joined Zenit from Juve last September, signing a two-year contract.

However, the 33-year-old is now a free agent after he negotiated an early release on Monday.

Former Juventus and Italy midfielder Claudio Marchisio has officially left Zenit St Petersburg by mutual consent.

Zenit tweeted on Monday evening: “The club can confirm that Claudio Marchisio's contract has been mutually terminated.

“Zenit would like to thank Claudio for his time with the club and wish him all the best for the future.”

The 33-year-old was released by Juve in August 2018 and signed a contract with Zenit until 2020 a month later.

Marchisio to leave Zenit

Former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio is in talks to terminate his Zenit St Petersburg contract early.

Tuttomercatoweb and Goal.com both report Marchisio is ready to leave Zenit, less than a year after arriving on a free transfer.

The 33-year-old was released by Juve in August 2018 and signed a contract with Zenit until 2020 a month later.

However, continued knee problems have limited him to just 15 games for the Russian club, although he did manage to score twice.
