Mihajlovic to make statement on illness

Sinisa Mihajlovic will make a statement today after reports he could leave the Bologna job to battle a serious illness.

The Corriere dello Sport broke the story via Ivan Zazzaroni, a friend of the Serbian tactician who writes for the newspaper.

A Press conference has been organised for 16.30 local time at the Bologna base in Casteldebole.

Mihajlovic did not travel with the squad for pre-season training this week to Castelrotto in Alto Adige.

CdS: Ill Mihajlovic could leave Bologna

The Corriere dello Sport claims Sinisa Mihajlovic might have to leave his job as Bologna Coach to deal with a serious illness.

According to Saturday’s edition of the newspaper, Mihajlovic recently had tests and medics warned he should go ahead with aggressive treatment.

This would take a lot out of the Serbian tactician and he would not feel ready to continue working in these circumstances.

He will either make a statement or hold a Press conference on Saturday to explain the situation.

Bologna can believe with Mihajlovic

Having pulled off a miraculous escape from relegation, Bologna are looking to take the next step with Sinisa Mihajlovic, writes Vijay Rahaman.

"I never want to experience that again." Those were the words of Bologna President Joey Saputo following the club's confirmation of their Serie A status, after a 3-3 result away to Lazio. The mere fact that the Rossoblu were even able to avoid the drop will be talked about for years to come and much of the praise must go to Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.
