De Leo: 'Bologna are united'

Bologna assistant manager Emilio De Leo said the wild celebrations in their 2-1 win over Atalanta showed the "togetherness between the team and staff."

The Rossoblu pulled off a shock result, beating an Atalanta side that have reached the last 16 of the Champions League, with goals from Rodrigo Palacio and Andrea Poli.

De Leo: 'Atalanta an example'

Bologna assistant Emilio De Leo says Atalanta are an example to the rest of Serie A and their defeat to Milan was down to "technical mistakes, not individual."

Mihajlovic made honorary citizen

Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is set to be made an honorary citizen of the Emilian city.

Mihajlovic has been battling leukaemia since the summer and made his sickness public by holding a press conference in July.

He remained Bologna boss and delegated roles to his staff, giving instructions via video conferences from Sant’Orsola hospital in the city, while making sporadic appearances at Rossoblu games early in the season.

Sabatini: 'No Zlatan to Bologna'

Bologna director Walter Sabatini has admitted that Zlatan Ibrahimovic won’t be joining the Rossoblu. “He’s made other choices.”

The Swede has been constantly linked with a return to Serie A since he announced that he would not be renewing his contract with MLS side LA Galaxy.

Bologna, Napoli and Milan have all declared interest in Ibrahimovic, the former counting on his rapport with Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Bologna rue third Milan goal

Sinisa Mihajlovic’s assistant manager Emilio De Leo admits Milan scoring a goal 40 seconds after the restart “knocked the wind” out of Bologna.

Theo Hernandez had accidentally scored an own goal on the stroke of half-time, making it 2-1, but Giacomo Bonaventura restored the two-goal cushion at the dawn of the second half.

By the time Nicola Sansone converted a penalty for the final 3-2 result, it was too late.
