Mihajlovic: 'Milan can beat anybody'

Sinisa Mihajlovic believes if Milan repeat the performance in their 4-1 win over Sampdoria, “then we can beat anybody.”

The switch to 4-4-2 proved a masterstroke with M’Baye Niang bagging a brace and providing an assist to Jack Bonaventura before Luiz Adriano completed the rout.

“Against Juventus we were unable to hold the ball up in attack, so we needed something tonight to turn the situation around,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

‘Milan must be more consistent’

Sinisa Mihajlovic believes it’s a mistake to talk about a Milan turning point - “we need to find consistency”.

The Rossoneri haven’t won either of their last two games, but had three successive victories prior to that, a clear demonstration of their erratic form.

“You can’t speak of one match as a turning point,” Mihajlovic insisted in his Press conference ahead of the Sampdoria match.

Miha: ‘Milan don’t lack character’

Milan Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic insists his side aren’t lacking character - “in many games we’ve conceded and had a reaction”.

The Rossoneri are currently in seventh-place in the League, behind the likes of Sassuolo and Fiorentina.

“Fiorentina have always played in Europe for the last three or four years,” Mihajlovic pointed out in this pre-match Press conference.

“You can’t just suddenly turn things around. We’ve changed players, our style of play and our way of working.

‘Milan can make Champions League’

Sinisa Mihajlovic believes Milan “can do better” and will make it into the Champions League.

The Rossoneri lost to Juventus last weekend, and face Vincenzo Montella’s Sampdoria at San Siro tomorrow.

“Since the Napoli game we’ve taken over two points per game,” Mihajlovic noted in his pre-match Press conference.

“I’m convinced we can keep this up, and last year that would have guaranteed a Champions League place.

Ferrero: ‘Montella best in the world’

Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero says Sinisa Mihajlovic “abandoned” him, but Vincenzo Montella is “the best in the world”.

Mihajlovic left the Blucerchiati this summer to take over at Milan, and his Rossoneri will face Samp at San Siro this weekend.

“I’m very fond of Sinisa,” Ferrero told Sky ahead of the match.

“Coaches are like wives though. He’s found another, and has abandoned me. I’m a lucky man though, because I found Montella, and he’s the best in the world.
