Eriksson: 'Lazio record and Scudetto'

Sven Goran Eriksson admits Simone Inzaghi wasn’t a natural coach, but his mentor hopes the pupil “beats my record and wins the Scudetto with Lazio.”

The Biancocelesti have already matched the all-time club record of nine straight wins, set in 1998-99, and are aiming for 10 against Napoli this evening.

Iachini: 'No magic wand'

Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini has claimed Federico Chiesa will “soon” be back to his best but pointed out he doesn’t have a “magic wand”.

The new coach said he was pleased with the Italy international and revealed Chiesa had shown him “how much he cares” during his first weeks as the Viola coach.

Mihajlovic: 'Bologna better for Zlatan'

Sinisa Mihajlovic believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic “would’ve had more fun” at Bologna than Milan, while he analyses Inter, Juventus and Lazio.

The Swede was a free agent after his contract with the LA Galaxy expired and had several offers, but in the end opted for a return to San Siro.

“It is disappointing, because I think he’d have had more fun here,” Bologna coach Mihajlovic told La Gazzetta dello Sport magazine Sportweek.

Mihajlovic: 'Every moment priceless'

Sinisa Mihajlovic opened up about how the leukaemia battle has changed him, or at least “rediscovered a part of me I kept hidden. I’ve even become more patient!”

The Serbian has been a fixture in Italian football for decades, as a player at Sampdoria, Lazio and Inter, then coach for the likes of Catania, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Milan, Torino and now Bologna.

Veron: 'Mihajlovic taught me free kicks'

Juan Sebastian Veron reveals Lazio forward Joaquin Correa asked him how to take free kicks, passing on what he learned from Sinisa Mihaljovic at Sampdoria.

Veron played for Lazio for two seasons at the turn of the millennium, and won a Scudetto, a Coppa Italia and an Italian Super Cup in the capital.

Towards the end of his career, Veron played with current Lazio forward Correa at Estudiantes, and reveals that he helped the youngster with his technique on free kicks.

Dominguez arrives for Bologna

Bologna’s new signing Nicolas Dominguez has landed in Italy ahead of joining the Rossoblu in January.

The 21-year-old Argentine was bought by Bologna last summer from Velez Sarsfield, however it was decided to leave the midfielder with his current side on loan, as opposed to joining up with Sinisa Mihajlovic’s team.

Now the Superliga is finished for the winter, Dominguez is free to join up with his new teammates.

Dominguez plays as a central midfielder, and scored five goals and made one assist from 14 games with Velez this season.

Dzemaili wants to end career at Bologna

Captain Blerim Dzemaili’s contract expires next summer, but the player has revealed he wants to end his career at Bologna.

The Swiss midfielder turns 34 in April and in June his contract at the Renato Dall’Ara will expire.

This season he has played 14 Serie A games for the Rossoblu and has scored one goal in the process, but the captain would like to stay on under Sinisa Mihajlovic.

“I would like to end my career here,” the 33-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Orsolini: 'Miha a special person'

Riccardo Orsolini says he has a “special relationship” with Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, who “knows” how to get a reaction out of him.

The forward scored a brace to send Bologna 3-0 up against Lecce during their 3-2 win on Sunday, and he thanked Mihajlovic for keeping him focused.

“When a player is going through a poor spell, Sinisa doesn’t let the concentration drop,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “He knows where to poke me to get a reaction.
