Alessio Cerci is back in Italian football after signing for Salernitana, where he reunites with Giampiero Ventura.

The 32-year-old attacking winger had the best period of his career working with Ventura at Torino.

Since leaving for Atletico Madrid in a €15m deal in 2014, it has been all downhill.

Cerci flopped in Madrid, at Milan, Genoa, Hellas Verona and Ankaragucu in Turkey.

He was a free agent and has signed on for Serie B strugglers Salernitana.
