Asamoah: 'Juventus must win'

Juve 'wait to replace Evra'

Juventus will only look to replace Patrice Evra in the summer rather than seeking a January alternative, reports suggest.

Bianconeri Director General Beppe Marotta confirmed that the 35-year-old was considering his future after being left out of the squad that faced Bologna on Sunday.

Evra is reportedly subject to offers from Valencia and Manchester United and looks set to leave Turin.

Juve 'to secure Witsel in Jan'

Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel will likely complete a transfer to Juventus in January, adding a vital reinforcement to the Bianconeri midfield.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Russian club are ready to sell the 27-year-old when the window opens, in order to avoid losing the player on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.

Bonucci: 'I didn't call City'

Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has revealed that there has been no contact between himself and Manchester City.

The 29-year-old also admitted that his side were struggling in midfield, but told La Domenica Sportiva that he was confident the team will return to a more convincing style of play.

"Manchester City said that I had called them to move there? I did not call anybody, they have not called me personally.

"I would honestly win all the games 1-0 but at the end of the day, a more beautiful way of playing will come.

Juventus recover Chiellini, Asamoah

Kwadwo Asamoah and Giorgio Chiellini have returned to Juventus training ahead of the Sampdoria game.

Asamoah has been out since last month with a knee injury, while Chiellini missed the Milan game with a thigh injury.

However, both trained with their Bianconeri teammates today, as confirmed by the club’s official website, meaning they are in contention for the squad to face the Blucerchiati.

There are problems for the Old Lady at the other end of the pitch though, as both Paulo Dybala and Marko Pjaca will miss out.

Asamoah surgery successful

Kwadwo Asamoah’s surgery was successful, so the Juventus midfielder will miss the next 45 days.

The Ghanaian was injured in the win over Palermo on Saturday evening, and it was announced that he would require knee surgery.

“Kwadwo Asamoah today underwent successful meniscectomy surgery on his right knee,” the Bianconeri confirmed on their official website.

“The operation was conducted by Professor Cugat in Barcelona in the presence of Juventus club doctor Claudio Rigo.

Juve quartet miss Dinamo trip

Juventus will be without Medhi Benatia, Claudio Marchisio, Kwadwo Asamoah and Daniele Rugani for their Champions League trip to Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday.

Benatia and Marchisio remain sidelined with thigh and knee ligament injuries respectively, while Rugani and Asamoah suffered sprained knees at Palermo over the weekend.

Rugani and Asamoah out 45 days

Juventus will be without both Daniele Rugani and Kwadwo Asamoah for the next six weeks.

The pair limped off with sprained right knees during last night’s 1-0 win at Palermo.

Tests at the J Medical centre confirmed both will be out of action for approximately 45 days.

Rugani was diagnosed with a strained collateral lateral ligament.

Asamoah suffered the complete tear of the medial meniscus ligament.

It is a huge problem for Max Allegri, as Medhi Benatia and Claudio Marchisio are also currently out injured.

Daniele Rugani and Kwadwo Asamoah will have tests tomorrow after the Juventus pair both suffered sprained knees.

The duo went off during today’s 1-0 Serie A victory away to Palermo.

Rugani had started the match and limped off, while Asamoah was a late substitute who lasted only 20 minutes.

“Kwadwo Asamoah and Daniele Rugani underwent medical tests following tonight’s match away in Palermo, which revealed sprains to their right knees,” read a statement.
