Wanda Nara congratulates her 'friends at Milan'

Wanda Nara shared a controversial social media message after Inter’s derby defeat, congratulating her ‘Friends at Milan.’

The wife and agent of the former Inter captain Mauro Icardi posted a picture of the Argentinean hugging her after a goal in a Nerazzurri shirt but the content of the message wasn’t kind at all for Inter and their fans.

“Without love there is no derby,” she wrote.

“Congratulations to my friends at Milan."

Coman wins Champions League for Bayern

Kingsley Coman’s header proved the only goal of the game, as Bayern Munich beat Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League Final.

Keylor Navas returned from injury, but Marco Verratti still wasn’t fit enough for 90 minutes, so joined ex-Inter striker Mauro Icardi on the bench. Nerazzurri-owned Ivan Perisic was dropped in favour of former Juventus winger Coman.

Manuel Neuer made a tough double save on Neymar, but Robert Lewandowski came even closer when his turn from 12 yards bounced off the upright.

Moratti: 'I was wrong to doubt Lukaku'

Former Inter President Massimo Moratti admits he was ‘wrong’ to doubt Romelu Lukaku, while the Serie A club has ‘everything it takes to bring Leo Messi’ to Italy.

The €74m spent to sign Lukaku from Manchester United had seemed like a huge gamble, especially replacing Mauro Icardi, but he found the net 31 times in 49 competitive games, preparing for the Europa League semi-final against Shakhtar Donetsk.

“I got it wrong on Lukaku,” confessed Moratti to the Quotidiano Sportivo newspaper.

Lukaku the leader Inter needed

Romelu Lukaku is already more of a captain, centre-forward and leader of Inter than Mauro Icardi ever could be, writes Owen Diana.

After Atalanta’s heart-wrenching elimination, Inter are the only Italian team still standing in Europe. That is largely down to Romelu Lukaku, who has been absolutely brilliant in his first season with the Nerazzurri.

The burly Belgian has silenced his critics with aplomb, but his contribution to this Inter side goes far beyond the impressive goals-to-games ratio. His commitment to the cause stands in stark contrast with the final stages of Mauro Icardi’s stay in Milan and symbolises just how far the club has come in the last year.

Tuchel: 'It's Icardi's moment'

PSG coach Thomas Tuchel ‘trusts’ Neymar will deliver in ‘the big matches’ but has stressed the importance of a good performance from former Inter forward Mauro Icardi on Wednesday.

Paris Saint-Germain will face Atalanta in the quarter-finals but will have Kylian Mbappe on the bench, as he is still recovering from an ankle injury, and lost former Napoli man Edinson Cavani when his deal expired earlier this summer.

Tuchel: 'Atalanta advantage over PSG'

Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel admits Atalanta ‘have an advantage and that is their pace’ after needing penalties to break down Lyon in the Coupe de la Ligue Final.

This was only their second competitive match since the lockdown in early March, after a 1-0 win over 10-man Saint-Etienne last week, and another sluggish performance.

If Atalanta had been watching this game, they would have seen little to be worried about going into the Champions League quarter-final on August 12.
