Inter open to Icardi sale?

Reports say Inter will allow Mauro Icardi to leave for €25m today after falling out of favour with Roberto Mancini.

The Nerazzurri captain was benched for their 3-0 Milan derby defeat on Sunday evening, missing a penalty after coming on as a substitute in the second half.

Sport Mediaset reports today that their sources have revealed that the San Siro giants are considering a last-minute January sale if a €25m offer comes in.

Icardi: ‘Bad Inter spell’

Inter captain Mauro Icardi admits “it’s a bad period for everyone” after recent struggles.

The Nerazzurri are winless in their last three Serie A games, and lost the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final with Juventus 3-0 in Turin last night.

“You can always do more,” Icardi said in a Press conference to promote peace ahead of the derby with Milan.

“It’s a bad period for everyone, and as captain I have to be the first to improve.”

Mancini: 'Strikers Inter problem'

Roberto Mancini said “Inter have a problem, our strikers can’t just stand there and wait” after a 1-1 draw with 10-man Carpi.

The Nerazzurri now have one point from their last three home games against Lazio, Sassuolo and Carpi, as Kevin Lasagna scored the equaliser in stoppages.

“I am disappointed, this is the third game we’ve thrown away by gifting these late chances,” Mancini told Mediaset Premium and Sky Sport Italia.

Mancini: 'Strikers must do more'

Roberto Mancini blamed his strikers for Inter’s 1-1 draw at Atalanta. “I’m not happy and someone has to more.”

The game was decided by two own goals, but also Samir Handanovic’s extraordinary saves.

“The goalkeeper is there to make saves and Handanovic had two or three occasions where he was excellent,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

Mancini: 'Inter relish pressure'

Roberto Mancini insists Inter “can use pressure in our favour” after their slender victory away to Empoli.

“I think it’s not easy to play at Empoli, they were coming off four consecutive victories and played really good football. It was our first game after the holidays and following the defeat to Lazio.
