'Sassuolo won't sell big names'

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has declared his club’s best players are not for sale and that ‘I’d offer Giorgio Chiellini a three-year contract - and my desk!’

Jeremie Boga and Manuel Locatelli have been heavily linked with moves away for next season, but Carnevali confirmed they – along with top goalscorer Francesco Caputo and captain Domenico Berardi – would be staying put.

“Caputo, Boga, Berardi and Locatelli won’t be sold,” he told Tuttosport.

De Zerbi's Sassuolo vision

Sassuolo are playing some spectacular, entertaining football under Roberto De Zerbi, so Ciro Di Brita explains why Juventus should be worried.

Atalanta are grabbing all the headlines, but Sassuolo are one of the form teams in Serie A since the restart and much of the credit goes to their coach, Roberto De Zerbi.

The little club from the Emilia-Romagna region have won four on the bounce heading into their Wednesday night showdown at the Mapei Stadium with league leaders and eight in a row Champions Juventus. Just days after surviving a scare, Juve are now up against another club whose all-attack philosophy has been overshadowed by Atalanta success, but is no less impressive.

De Zerbi: 'Sassuolo can climb the table'

Roberto De Zerbi was happy with Sassuolo’s performance against Fiorentina and encouraged his stars to follow him and remain at the Neroverdi.

Coach De Zerbi signed a new deal until June 2021 at the Mapei and after an impressive 3-1 win against the Viola, the 41-year-old wants to start climbing the table.

“We played a great game, maybe I’m exaggerating with the changes, but I want fresh legs and it’s fair to give everyone some minutes,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

Mancini: 'Different Italy at Euro 2021'

Roberto Mancini admits his Italy squad will inevitably change with the Euro 2020 delay to next year, hoping to reap the rewards of improvements to Nicolò Zaniolo, Federico Chiesa, Emerson Palmieri and more.

The tournament was due to kick off on June 12, but has been postponed to the summer of 2021, something that could well transform the Azzurri squad.

De Zerbi: 'Berardi underrated, Caputo for Italy'

Sassuolo coach Roberto De Zerbi has suggested Francesco Caputo could help Roberto Mancini’s Italy and claimed Domenico Berardi is underrated.

The Neroverdi are currently 11th in Serie A and De Zerbi has done a great job with the young squad at the MAPEI Stadium, but the player who stands out from the rest is 32-year-old Caputo.

He arrived from Empoli last summer and has scored 13 goals in 23 Serie A games for Sassuolo and De Zerbi has suggested that he could be the Salvatore Schillaci of Roberto Mancini.
