Carnevali: ‘Berardi talks soon’

Sassuolo director general Giovanni Carnevali reiterates Domenico Berardi isn’t certain to join Juventus - “in a few days we’ll sit down and decide”.

The forward was co-owned by the two clubs until last summer, and there is a gentleman’s agreement that the Bianconeri can take him back to Turin for an agreed fee.

“I’m very good friends with [Juventus director] Beppe Marotta,” Carnevali explained to Corriere dello Sport.

Lazio ask Berardi for Biglia?

Lazio will ask Juventus to loan Domenico Berardi in exchange for Lucas Biglia if they sign the Sassuolo winger, say reports.

Aquile captain Biglia is widely reported to be on the way out of the capital club this summer, with Juve and Inter among the teams believed to be interested.

Sky Sport Italia reports that the Bianconeri are ready to step up their interest in the playmaker, but Lazio owner Claudio Lotito values him at €20m.

Sassuolo: 'Berardi bidding war'

Sassuolo patron Giorgio Squinzi insists Domenico Berardi will go to “whoever pays more,” as there is no Juventus deal.

It has been said for well over a year that Juve have a €25m option to buy the Italy Under-21 talent this summer.

However, it seems to be more of a gentleman’s agreement and a not very solid one at that.

“There is nothing definite with Juventus,” Squinzi told the Sole 24 Ore newspaper.

“Are they the favourites? The favourites are whoever pays more.”

Juve: Keep Pogba, sign trio

Reports say Juventus aim to keep Paul Pogba and sign three world-class players this summer.

Gazzetta dello Sport writes that the Old Lady are targeting a Champions League triumph next season and will act accordingly in the market.

Pogba has been linked with many of Europe’s top clubs but Juve plan to keep hold of him in order to launch their European challenge.

The outlet believes Massimiliano Allegri wants to use a 4-3-1-2 formation and that Borussia Dortmund’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan is his number one choice as trequartista.

Marotta: ‘Juventus want Morata but...’

General manger Beppe Marotta says Juventus want to keep Alvaro Morata but it’s “very complicated” while a deal for Domenico Berardi “is simpler”.

Morata signed for the Bianconeri in 2014, but selling club Real Madrid retained a buyback clause which they can activate this summer or next.

“We want to keep Alvaro with us, that’s our clear objective,” Marotta told Tuttosport, after the Old Lady secured a fifth Scudetto in a row yesterday.

Agent: ‘Berardi to Lazio? Fantasy football…’

Domenico Berardi’s agent dismisses the idea of his client joining Lazio as “fantasy football”.

Some newspapers suggested today that Juventus could buy the forward from Sassuolo, then exchange him with Biancocelesti captain Lucas Biglia.

“There has been no kind of contact,” Simone Seghedoni, Berardi’s agent told LaLaSiamoNoi.

“It seems very difficult to me, as today the player has a contract with Sassuolo until 2019. It seems like fantasy football to suggest Berardi could join Juventus to be moved to Lazio.

Agent: ‘Berardi to Juventus not done’

Domenico Berardi’s agent insists there’s no deal with Juventus - “he’s a Sassuolo player”.

The Italian Under-21 international was co-owned by the two clubs until last summer, when the Bianconeri gave up their half of his registration.

However, the Turin giants have a “gentleman’s agreement” in place to buy him back, and it has been reported in recent days that a deal is done.
