Agent: ‘Verbal deal for Berardi’

Domenico Berardi’s agent says there is ‘a verbal agreement’ that the striker will move from Sassuolo to Juventus for €25m in June.

The 21-year-old has been linked with the Old Lady throughout the season, but agent Simone Seghedoni refused to reject interest from Premeir League clubs including Tottenham.

“In recent years, everyone has said that Domenico had to go to Juventus, but he belongs entirely to Sassuolo,” Seghedoni told Tuttojuve.com.

‘Rugani, Zaza treatment a bad sign’

The lack of playing time for Daniele Rugani and Simone Zaza at Juventus ‘isn’t a good sign’ for Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi, says his agent.

The Italy Under-21 international appears set to leave the Neroverdi in the summer, but the Bianconeri’s failure to offer youngsters game time is a problem.

“In June we will evaluate what will be best way for him to develop: the player is more than ready for the big jump,” agent Simone Seghedoni told Tuttojuve.com.

Prandelli: 'I'd do it all again'

Cesare Prandelli looks back over the failed World Cup campaign, Mario Balotelli and how Italy go into Euro 2016.

“The elimination in Brazil remains an open wound,” the former Italy Coach told La Repubblica newspaper.

“I am still irritated by certain articles. The pain is because the World Cup wiped out four years of work. But going back, I’d do it all again, including my resignation.

Spurs battle Juve for Berardi

Tottenham want Sassuolo starlet Domenico Berardi, but need to out-bid the Juventus option worth €25m.

Like Simone Zaza before him, Berardi was allowed to develop and become a Serie A regular at Sassuolo while Juve kept an option of first refusal.

Zaza has gone to Turin this summer and Berardi is widely expected to follow, but that is not necessarily the case.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Tottenham Hotspur have a very strong interest in the 21-year-old.

Conte: 'Players, change my mind'

Antonio Conte said it would be “stupid for Italy to set ourselves targets” at Euro 2016 and challenged players to “change my mind.”

The Azzurri have been placed in the extremely tricky Group E with Belgium, the side currently number one in the FIFA World rankings, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Sweden and the Republic of Ireland.

“It would be stupid for Italy to set ourselves targets, above all minimum ones,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

Juventus set Berardi sights

There are reports that Juventus will spend around €20m to bring Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi back to Turin in the summer.

The Bianconeri signed the Italy Under-21 international in 2013 but sold him back to the Neroverdi last summer for €10m after his loan deal finished.

However, Tuttosport and Gazzetta dello Sport report today that the 21-year-old will once again swap between the clubs this summer.

Gazzetta believes that the Bianconeri want Berardi for his tactical flexibility as well as his undoubted talent.

Berardi to Juventus in June?

Reports suggest Juventus will pay €25m to bring Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi to Turin this summer.

The Italian Under-21 international was co-owned by the Bianconeri and the Emilian side, but was bought outright by the Neroverdi this summer.

The player’s agent has confirmed that there is a “verbal agreement” for the 21-year-old to move to the Old lady this summer, and Tuttosport backs up that claim.

Three-match ban for Berardi

Sassuolo star Domenico Berardi has received a three-match ban for his reaction foul against Genoa.

The forward was sent off for kicking up into the crotch of Cristian Ansaldi in Sunday’s 2-1 Grifone victory.

Diego Perotti also saw red for rushing over to confront Berardi, but he only went forehead-to-forehead with him and therefore is given a one-match ban.
