Florenzi: 'Ready to give my all'

Alessandro Florenzi says he is ready to ‘give 100 percent’ and ‘show what I can do to all the fans’ as Valencia prepare to restart their season.

Florenzi joined Valencia on loan from Roma in January but played just five times due to a bout of chickenpox, followed by the coronavirus lockdown.

Now, amidst reports the Spanish side have extended his stay, the right-sider is chomping at the bit ahead of La Liga resuming on June 11.

Valencia 'extend Florenzi loan'

Valencia have reportedly agreed to extend Alessandro Florenzi’s loan from Roma until the end of the season.

Florenzi was initially contracted to Valencia until June 30 and a return to Roma looked increasingly on the cards.

However, Corriere della Sera writes a new agreement has been reached between the two clubs for him to see out the 2019-20 campaign at Mestalla, as per FIFA guidelines.

Florenzi won't remain at Valencia

Valencia are very unlikely to purchase Alessandro Florenzi outright from Roma for €12-15m, but the player insists he wouldn’t cut the experience short.

The full-back joined Valencia in January on a dry loan, so there is no agreed option to buy, meaning any full transfer would have to be negotiated.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Superdeporte, the asking price is €12-15m, considerably over the budget, not to mention his salary.

Florenzi: 'Only Manolas didn't believe with Barca'

Alessandro Florenzi reveals there was only one Roma player who didn’t believe they could complete the comeback with Barcelona – Kostas Manolas.

The full-back is currently on loan at Valencia, but admits he has no idea where he’ll be after June 30.

“I am at Valencia at the moment and it’s not clear yet whether FIFA will allow loans to be extended beyond then, because my contract expires in June and the season won’t end until at least July,” Florenzi told MotoGP champion Max Biaggi in an Instagram Live chat.

Viola back in for Florenzi?

Fiorentina could be ready to try again for Roma loanee Alessandro Florenzi when he returns from his stint at Valencia this summer.

The Viola reportedly attempted to bring the Italy international to the Artemio Franchi in January, as Florenzi was falling down the pecking order under the new Giallorossi coach Paulo Fonseca.

After struggling to break into the first team at the Olimpico, the right-back eventually moved to the Mestalla in January but only appeared three times in La Liga before the League was suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Florenzi had been a firm target for Atalanta, who felt he’d bring valuable experience to the side in their Champions League campaign.
