Gattuso: 'Milik out, Koulibaly could stay'

Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso confirms Arkadiusz Milik is out of the squad, but ‘Kalidou Koulibaly won’t leave unless the club gets his asking price.’

Milik was left out of today’s 4-0 friendly win over Pescara amid negotiations with Roma, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur.

“We were very clear with Milik last year, we told him that he had to renew his contract, but he refused to do so and knows our view on this,” Gattuso told Sky Sport Italia.

Roma and Tottenham haggle for Milik

Roma are reportedly offering €15m plus a youth team player for Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, but Tottenham Hotspur won’t meet the €35m asking price.

The striker was left out of the squad for today’s friendly against Pescara, further proving he is not in their plans for this season.

His contract is due to expire in June 2021, so the club is up against the clock to find a buyer before he could potentially leave as a free agent.

Mourinho: 'Serie A would be good for Rose'

Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is in favour of Danny Rose joining Genoa. ‘If he goes to Serie A, I think it’ll be very good for him.’

The 30-year-old left-back had also been linked with Cagliari after his loan spell at Newcastle United, but the latest Sky Sport Italia reports point him towards Genoa.

“If Genoa gets Danny Rose, I think they get a good player,” said Mourinho in a press conference.

Milik opens up to Tottenham

Arkadiusz Milik is starting to look for a move abroad to Tottenham, as the Napoli striker sees Juventus and now Roma avenues cut off.

The forward is refusing to sign a new contract, so with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season, he is officially on the market.

Juve had seemed his preferred destination, but they were put off by the €50m asking price and are now on the verge of securing Luis Suarez from Barcelona.

Perisic between Bayern and Spurs

Inter have rejected Bayern Munich’s €12m offer to buy Ivan Perisic, but using him as part-exchange for Tanguy Ndombele did not go well with Tottenham.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Champions League winners want to keep hold of Perisic after his impressive loan spell.

That cost €5m and there was an option to buy that was allowed to expire, because Bayern were trying to renegotiate it at a lower fee.

The initial proposal of €12m was turned down, as Inter are asking for at least €15m.

Milan put Aurier talks on hold

Milan negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur for Serge Aurier appear to have stalled, as he is not currently a priority.

The Rossoneri have secured a deal for Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz, and are close to Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko.

According to Sky Sports UK, Milannews.it and more, talks for Aurier have hit a brick wall after failing to bridge the gap between the two clubs’ valuation of the player.

Inter put Eriksen on the market?

Inter have reportedly put Christian Eriksen on the market just eight months after his arrival from Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Dane was never really wanted by Antonio Conte in the first place and is not part of his plans for the future.

This had become evident, as Eriksen was repeatedly left on the bench and given only cameos as a substitute during the last few months of the season.

Aurier eager for Milan move

Milan continue negotiations for Tottenham Hotspur full-back Serge Aurier, especially after Spurs signed Matt Doherty from Wolves.

The €16.5m deal for Doherty was announced this morning, meaning Aurier is now no longer required in London.

There are reports in the Daily Star that Aurier had been offered to Wolverhampton Wanderers in exchange for Doherty, but the Ivory Coast international refused.

He is focused entirely on the Milan move, although there is still some considerable distance between the two clubs.
