Lyon favourites for Andersen

Olympique Lyonnais are the favourites to sign Joachim Andersen, although the €18m offer is a long way off Sampdoria’s asking price.

The defender has also been linked with Roma, Inter, Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

He is a 23-year-old Dane who only left Dutch side FC Twente for Samp at a cost of €1.5m in the summer of 2017.

According to Eurosport and Sky Sport Italia, Lyon are the club to have come closest to the Sampdoria demands of €25-30m.

Roma join Andersen bidding war

Roma have joined Milan, Tottenham, Arsenal and Lyon in the race for Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen, seen as the replacement for Kostas Manolas.

The 23-year-old Denmark international is on the market, but a bidding war has erupted and is pushing the price up from €30m to €35m.

He only joined from FC Twente in 2017 for €1.4m, so represents a huge profit margin for the Blucerchiati.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the usual suspects of Milan, Spurs and Arsenal have been joined by Olympique Lyonnais and above all Roma.

Inter seek Sessegnon free transfer

Inter will reportedly try to sign Fulham’s €50m-rated English teenage starlet Ryan Sessegnon on a free transfer next season.

According to The Sun newspaper, the youngster is prepared to run down his contract with the London side and could open talks with foreign clubs at the beginning of 2020.

The Cottagers rated the England U21 international at around €50m last year, but after a poor season in which they were relegated from the Premier League, his value has dropped.

Juventus target Trippier

Multiple Italian sources point to Kieran Trippier as the heir to Joao Cancelo at Juventus, although Tottenham want €25m.

Sportitalia and La Gazzetta dello Sport both have the same report this evening, that new Coach Maurizio Sarri sees Trippier as the ideal replacement for Manchester City-bound Cancelo at right-back.

The England international was offered a five-year contract worth €2.6m per season net plus performance-related bonuses.

The biggest problem is Spurs, as they are asking for at least €25m to part with the 28-year-old.
