Arkadiusz Milik notes Juventus achieved a double objective by reaching the Coppa Italia Final and qualifying for the Supercoppa Italiana 2024-25.

The first leg 2-0 lead for the Bianconeri was wiped out by the 49th minute at the Stadio Olimpico, as Taty Castellanos nodded in a Luis Alberto corner and finished off another assist from the Spaniard for Lazio to equalise 2-2 on aggregate.

However, Milik came off the bench and anticipated Alessio Romagnoli to meet the cross-shot from fellow substitute Timothy Weah, scoring with practically his first touch.

It proved enough to send Juve through to the Coppa Italia Final, 3-2 on aggregate, where they will face either Atalanta or Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico on May 15.

“The game was going badly, we suffered against a good team like Lazio, especially on their own turf, but we are happy that we will be back here in a few weeks to play in the Coppa Italia Final,” Milik told Sport Mediaset.

“Obviously, we know that we can and must do better, but we are happy to be in the Final. Another objective was also to qualify for the Supercoppa.”

Simply by reaching the Final, Juve have booked their spot in the Supercoppa Italiana Final Four in 2024-25, which will include both Coppa Italia Finalists and the top two in Serie A.

“I returned from injury and was able to play a few minutes, Timo gave me a good cross, so I am happy. We are above all happy for the fans, who support us everywhere we go.

“That is the most important match of the season, we hope in a few weeks to bring some joy to the fans.”
