Allegri: Spurs strong without Bale

Max Allegri claims Tottenham will pose Milan a great threat even without the injured Gareth Bale.

Bale did not travel to Milan this morning after failing to recover from a back problem.

"Independently of Bale's absence, Tottenham have done well without him in recent games," Allegri said.

"They are an intense, very organised team with a good collective, with individuals who are technically very good.

Ibra: Experience counts in Europe

Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes Milan's pedigree in Europe will stand the club in good stead when they face Tottenham at San Siro on Tuesday.

Milan are looking to win the Champions League for the first time since 2007.

They have struggled in recent years to overcome English opposition, losing to Arsenal and Manchester United.

"Milan's experience in Europe is a big advantage. Many players who have won the Champions League play here. This can help and also calms the team.

Tottenham: 'Bale out of Milan match'

Milan received a boost with confirmation Gareth Bale is out of Tuesday's Champions League meeting with Tottenham.

The Welsh wizard has been a key figure in Spurs' European campaign so far, scoring a hat-trick against Inter.

However, manager Harry Redknapp confirmed that Bale will not recover from a back injury in time for Tuesday's game.

Bale already missed today's 2-1 win at Sunderland and does not hold out much hope of even making the trip to San Siro.

Iaquinta ignores Tottenham links

Vincenzo Iaquinta “will certainly be at Juventus next season,” said his agent, ruling out links with Tottenham.

The 2006 World Cup winner has spent much of this campaign on the treatment table, but is reportedly of interest to Spurs among other clubs.

“Is Iaquinta in Juve's plans for the future? You'd have to ask director general Beppe Marotta that,” agent Andrea D'Amico told Juvenews.net.

“He will certainly be at Juventus next season, because I doubt they have stronger strikers than him.

As he is Cup-tied, Inter would begin negotiations now to have him booked for the summer transfer session.

It is hardly the first time the 21-year-old has been linked with the European, World and Italian Champions.

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is also interested in bringing Bale to La Liga.
