Sarri: 'It's normal to argue'

Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri said “it’s normal to argue” and insists “everything seems normal” between him and Paulo Dybala ahead of the match against Udinese.

The Argentine was not happy when he was substituted against Roma last weekend, but Sarri has denied they are on bad terms and has claimed “it’s normal to argue”.

Ahead of the Coppa Italia game against the Friuli, the Old Lady coach had to calm down the rumours about unrest.

Giovinco: 'Expect great Juve-Lazio'

Sebastian Giovinco is looking forward to watching Juventus-Lazio for the Italian Super Cup tomorrow and is "not surprised" Gigi Buffon is still going strong.

Giovinco played for The Old Lady from 2008-10 and again from 2012-15 before leaving for Toronto FC.

He then left the Canadian side at the beginning of 2019 to join Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal, where he won the Asian Champions League.

Speaking to the Corriere dello Sport, Giovinco says he expects a great final between Juve and Lazio in Riyadh on Sunday.

Buffon: 'Wrong to quit now'

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has affirmed that he would be doing himself “a disservice if I stopped playing.”

Last night, the veteran matched Paolo Maldini’s record of 647 matches in Serie A during the 2-1 win against Sampdoria.

Although he played down the importance of equalling the former Milan captain, he felt there were still “many beautiful moments” ahead for him in football.

“It’s exciting and it’s also the reason why I keep playing,” Buffon told Sky Sport Italia.

Buffon to renew with Juve?

Veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is reportedly not planning to retire just yet as he is allegedly ready to extend his contract with Juventus until 2021.

Tonight, the 41-year-old is set to match Paolo Maldini’s record of 647 matches in Serie A and Calciomercato.com reports that he is ready to discuss a renewal of his deal with the Bianconeri.

Buffon’s contract is due to expire in June, but the report states Juve want to prolong the World Cup winner’s career and keep him in the dressing room at Allianz Stadium for another season.

Buffon set to match Maldini

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon could play his 647th match in Serie A tomorrow as Wojciech Szczesny is struggling to recover in time.

Sky Sport Italia reports Szczesny, who missed the win against Udinese with a muscular problem, could also be out of the rescheduled game at Samp tomorrow.

With that in mind, Buffon seems all-but-certain to start in goal and - if so - will write history tomorrow night.

Milan legend Paolo Maldini currently holds Serie A’s appearance record with 647, but his former Italy teammate is only one game behind.

Buffon: 'Madrid a Real pleasure'

Gianluigi Buffon says “it’s always a pleasure” to face Real Madrid, as Juventus could draw the Spanish giants in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Buffon’s last appearance against Madrid saw him shown an injury-time red card during the second leg of Juve’s quarter-final tie in the tournament two seasons ago.

The Bianconeri ended up crashing out 7-6 on aggregate to a last-gasp Cristiano Ronaldo penalty, and they can inflict their revenge on Los Blancos in the Round of 16 this term.
