ICC: Ronaldo and Buffon beat Inter

Cristiano Ronaldo cancelled out a Matthijs de Ligt own goal, but Juventus veteran Gigi Buffon saved three Inter penalties in the shoot-out.

This was the second International Champions Cup game for both teams, as Juve lost at the last second to Tottenham 3-2 and Inter fell to Manchester United.

Bonucci: 'Struck by Sarri's ideas'

Leonardo Bonucci was “struck by Maurizio Sarri’s ideas and intelligence,” but the Juventus defender wants to “get back to the player I was two years ago.”

Buffon agent: 'Juve call unexpected'

Gianluigi Buffon’s agent admits the call from Juventus was “totally unexpected” after just one season at Paris Saint-Germain.

The goalkeeper will be 42 in January 2020, but remains active and will play one final season before taking a job behind the scenes in Turin.

“The return to Juve was totally unexpected,” agent Silvano Martina told Radio Bianconera.

Buffon agent: 'Juventus is an idea'

Gianluigi Buffon’s agent admits there are negotiations for a return to Juventus, although he adds “for now it’s just an idea.”

The news exploded on Tuesday night that Buffon was planning not just a comeback to Serie A and to Italy, but to Juve only one year after leaving for his Paris Saint-Germain adventure.

Sky: Buffon back at Juventus!

Gianluigi Buffon is in advanced negotiations for a return to Juventus on a one-year contract, with a future as a director, claim Sky Sport Italia.

The shot-stopper is already 41 years old and will be 42 in January 2020, but left the Bianconeri at the end of his contract in July 2018.

Although Paris Saint-Germain offered him an extension on the one-year deal, he decided against another stay in Ligue 1.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, Buffon is in regular and advanced talks for a stunning return to Juventus.

Leeds Utd fans run with Buffon rumour

English fans are buzzing about rumours Gianluigi Buffon could join Leeds United, but there seems to be very little behind this story.

The Corriere della Sera newspaper mentioned in passing that there were several proposals from around Europe for the goalkeeper, including FC Porto – which was confirmed by agent Silvano Martina – and, among others, Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds.

This prompted sites in Britain to run with it, sparking a social media frenzy among supporters of the Championship club.

Buffon confirms Porto offer

Gianluigi Buffon has received an offer from FC Porto, confirmed his agent, but the goalkeeper “will make a decision in around 10 days.”

The shot-stopper is a free agent after turning down a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain and has hinted he’s looking for a return to Italy.

However, so far the most credible proposal has been from the Portuguese champions, who’d bring him in to replace Iker Casillas.

Buffon caught red-handed

Gigi Buffon posted an image on social media showing him zooming towards a new adventure, but it also confirmed him breaking several laws.

The goalkeeper is hoping to continue his playing career after one year at Paris Saint-Germain and has been linked with Parma and Brescia.

“Travel only has one rule don't come back the same as you left. Come back different,” he wrote on his Twitter and Instagram post.
