Lippi: 'Scudetto race is open'

Marcello Lippi urges Inter and Lazio to believe in the Scudetto, because “Juventus are only expressing 60 per cent of their potential.”

The gap at the top of the table has been sliced to three points, as although both the chasers were held to draws, the leaders were beaten 2-1 by Napoli.

“Juve didn’t have the right psychological approach at the Stadio San Paolo, perhaps because they saw that Inter and Lazio had already drawn their games,” Lippi told Radio GR Parlamento.

Lippi: 'Italy only play to win'

Marcello Lippi has warned Italy’s rivals that they “only go to European Championships and World Cups to win.”

Italy qualified for Euro 2020 with a 100 percent record, winning all 10 of their qualifiers, and Lippi backed the Azzurri to “make a good impression” at the tournament.

“We’ll make a good impression,” the former Juventus boss told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Italy only go to European Championships and World Cups to win, like Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands and England.

Lippi: 'Juve not in a crisis!'

Former Juventus boss Marcello Lippi says it’s absurd to think that the Bianconeri are in a crisis. “They’ve only lost one game...”

Juve fell to their first defeat of the season at the weekend, going down 3-1 to Lazio, but Lippi made it clear Maurizio Sarri needed more time to implement his style on the team.

“They have only lost one game, on Saturday,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.

“Before that they had never lost. Maurizio Sarri needs time. He doesn’t have a magic wand.”

Lippi impressed by Lazio and Juve

Marcello Lippi praised Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi, while predicting Juventus "joined the small group of super-favourites" for the Champions League.

The World Cup winning coach looks ahead to tomorrow's Serie A match in Turin, which kicks off on Saturday at 19.45 GMT.

“Simone Inzaghi is a good, relatively young coach and he is doing very well. He will certainly be able to identify the weak points in Juve, even though I believe that there are few," Lippi told Rai Sport.

With his first top-flight title now behind him, the former Juventus and Italy defender admits he would like to work in his homeland again soon.

Lippi: 'I have Ibra doubts'

Marcello Lippi reveals he is sceptical about Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s possible return to Serie A as he wonders why only Italian clubs want the veteran.

Lippi: 'Only Inter can stop Juve'

Marcello Lippi believes Inter have made Serie A “more interesting” but still expects Maurizio Sarri to take Juventus to another title.

Juve and Inter both won their respective fixtures against Atalanta and Torino on Saturday, and they remain separated by a single point at the summit after 13 games.

Lippi, who coached the two sides, welcomes such a scenario, even if he expects there to be only one winner.
