Carlo Ancelotti explains why the Premier League is better than Serie A and insists Everon are not interested in signing Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

“The Premier League is very competitive. There are many things we can say on why their clubs are superior to those in Serie A. There are too many tactics in Italy, which lead to less intensity. The Premier League has the best players and the best coaches,” Ancelotti told Il Corriere dello Sport.

Ancelotti doesn’t judge Pirlo

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti doesn’t want to judge Andrea Pirlo but hopes Milan finish above Juventus this season.

The Bianconeri and the Rossoneri are in the race for a top-four finish and will meet at the Allianz Stadium next week in a crucial showdown for their Champions League hopes.

“It’s a nice race as it is here in England,” Ancelotti told Sky Sport.

The Italian has coached both Juventus and Milan in his career, but he is way more attached to the Rossoneri with whom he won eight titles, including two Champions Leagues.

Milan sit three points behind League leaders Inter in Serie A and the Nerazzurri could make it six if they win against Parma tonight.

Former coach and player Ancelotti, who is currently in charge of The Toffees, said he wants the Diavolo to finish on top in 2020-21.

Safe stolen in Ancelotti burglary

There are reports Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti’s home was burgled by masked men, but his daughter Katia frightened them off.

The incident is said to have occurred at Ancelotti’s house in Blundellsands in Merseyside at 18.30 GMT on Friday evening.

Merseyside Police confirm “a safe was stolen in a burglary in Crosby on Friday evening (12 February). We were called at 6.35pm to a report two males had entered a property on Hall Road East at around 6.30pm.

Ancelotti bonds with Everton fan

Carlo Ancelotti is in regular contact with an Everton fan who has motor neurone disease, continuing the battle against ALS that began with Stefano Borgonovo.

BBC Breakfast showed an interview with the two men, who have become friends via Zoom.

It’s no surprise for Ancelotti to have become so involved, as the 61-year-old has long worked with charities to raise money and awareness of motor neurone disease.
