Inter: Hakimi and Radja returns tomorrow

Inter have announced their return on September 7, but tomorrow Radja Nainggolan and Achraf Hakimi arrives for the medical tests.

Nainggolan’s time in Sardinia is up and he must return to San Siro, but Cagliari are still hoping to reach an agreement with Inter to sign the former Belgium international.

Hakimi, who arrives from Real Madrid this summer, will arrive tomorrow too and the duo will therefore anticipate the resumption of training, postponed because of the late end to 2019-20.

Giulini: 'Cagliari want to keep Radja'

Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini has claimed Inter loanee Radja Nainggolan wants to stay in Sardinia and hopes to reach an agreement with the Nerazzurri ‘as soon as possible’.

The former Belgium international returned to Cagliari on loan ahead of 2019-20 and helped the Rossoblu to their best start since the Scudetto winners in 1969-70.

But the Sardinians struggled in the second half of the campaign and eventually finished 14th in Serie A.

Cagliari hope to keep Nainggolan

Cagliari continue to fight for Radja Nainggolan, as Eusebio Di Francesco has reportedly made the Inter midfielder his number one priority.

The Inter midfielder spent 2019-20 on loan in Sardinia and Antonio Conte will have the final say when the Nerazzurri return from Germany this month.

The Casteddu are, according to Corriere dello Sport, hoping to keep the influential midfielder at the club and are working on a proposal for Inter.

Florenzi considering Cagliari move

Alessandro Florenzi could be reunited with Radja Nainggolan and Eusebio Di Francesco by leaving Roma for Cagliari this summer.

The right-back went on loan to Valencia in January because he was not part of Paulo Fonseca’s plans and is expected to move on again for next season.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the favourites are Cagliari, because there is quite a former Giallorossi colony being created in Sardinia.

Nainggolan already moved there on loan from Inter last summer and is pushing to make it permanent.

Cagliari work to keep Radja

Cagliari may have strengthened their position to keep Radja Nainggolan after confirming former Roma tactician Eusebio Di Francesco as their new head coach.

Tuttomercatoweb claims Nainggolan played a role in getting Di Francesco to the Sardegna Arena and the former Giallorossi pair could in theory continue working together at Cagliari next season.

Nainggolan’s loan deal expires this summer and Inter have the final say, as the Belgian has two years left on his contract in Milan.

Zenga will miss Nainggolan against Sassuolo

Walter Zenga has claimed Cagliari must step up to fill the void left by injured Radja Nainggolan as the Rossoblu host Sassuolo on Saturday.

The former Sampdoria coach replaced Rolando Maran right before the break but has not been able to lift the spirits at the Sardegna Arena.

Two victories in three matches after the resumption has since been followed by a winless run of five games and the coach must cope without Nainggolan when on-form Neroverdi arrive this weekend.

Zenga: 'Nainggolan's season over'

Walter Zenga hit out at Cagliari for ‘gifting’ Sampdoria a 3-0 win yesterday and ‘thinks’ Radja Nainggolan’s season is over.

Cagliari had no response to Samp’s three goals and Zenga was disappointed about his team’s ‘lack of conviction’ going forward.

“We lacked conviction in our shooting, then we gifted them two goals, which crippled us,” he said after the game.

Zenga confirms Nainggolan absence

Cagliari coach Walter Zenga has confirmed that Radja Nainggolan will miss tomorrow’s match against his former club Sampdoria at the Marassi.

Daniele Ragatzu had to replace the Inter loanee after only 30 minutes of the 0-0 draw with Lecce on Sunday and Nainggolan has not recovered in time for the Blucerchiati match this Wednesday.

The 32-year-old had struggled with a calf problem prior to the match against the Giallorossi but Zenga couldn’t confirm the extent of the injury, fearing a long period out for the former Roma star.
