Verratti's girlfriend trolls Muller

Marco Verrati’s girlfriend Jessica Aidi trolled Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller after Paris Saint-Germain advanced to the semi-finals.

PSG won the first leg 3-2 in Munich and are through to the semi-finals of the Champions League after a 1-0 defeat in Paris last night.

The Ligue 1 champions, who were runners-up behind Bayern in the competition last year, revenged the defeat from Lisbon eight months ago.

Verratti 'affected by COVID symptoms'

PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino reveals Marco Verratti is on the bench for the Champions League quarter-final with Bayern Munich because ‘some COVID symptoms affected him.’

The first leg ended 3-2 for PSG in Germany and the decider kicks off at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

Italy internationals Verratti, Alessandro Florenzi and Moise Kean are all on the bench to begin with.

While Kean is returning from injury, Verratti and Florenzi just recovered after contracting COVID on international duty.

Stramaccioni: 'I wanted Verratti at Inter, but nobody believed in him'

Former Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni revealed he ‘wanted Marco Verratti’ at the Nerazzurri. ‘But everyone was afraid, nobody believed in him’.

The Italy international went from Pescara to Paris Saint-Germain in July 2012 and the 28-year-old has so far never played in Serie A.

The central midfielder has played 341 competitive games with the French giants and has helped PSG pick up seven Ligue 1 titles, five French Cups and six French League Cups.

Verratti and Florenzi free of COVID

Marco Verratti and Alessandro Florenzi have recovered from COVID and could be available against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

Both players tested positive for COVID upon their return from international duty two weeks ago.

There was an outbreak in the Italy national team squad with several staff members and eight players who caught the virus during the international break.

Several reports in France are now claiming the latest swab tests underwent by Florenzi and Verratti came back negative.

Grifo the fourty Italy player positive for COVID

Freiburg have confirmed Vincenzo Grifo is the fourth player from the Italy squad to test positive for coronavirus.

Announcements regarding Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci and Paris Saint-Germain duo Alessandro Florenzi and Marco Veratti had already emerged from the COVID-19 outbreak in the Italy squad during the World Cup Qualifiers.

Reports in Italy revealed there was a fourth player positive for coronavirus and now Freiburg have confirmed winger Grifo has contracted the virus.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has tested positive for coronavirus upon his return from international duty with Italy.

Leonardo Bonucci contracted COVID-19 during the stay with Italy and now the Azzurri midfielder received a positive result in the latest swab test in the French capital.

The club have officially announced that the Italy international emerged positive after having returned from his duties with the Italian squad in the World Cup Qualifiers.

Marco Verratti left the Italy camp with a thigh injury, but tests have reassured PSG he will be ready to face Bayern Munich.

The midfielder played the first two World Cup qualifiers against Northern Ireland and Bulgaria, but pulled out before tonight’s trip to Lithuania.

According to L’Equipe, tests have shown bruising to the left thigh, which means he will likely miss this weekend’s Ligue 1 clash with Lille.

Lewandowski out of both PSG clashes

The Italians playing for PSG have suddenly become favourites to reach the Champions League semi-finals after Bayern Munich confirmed Robert Lewandowski is out for a month.

He picked up a knee injury on international duty with Poland and tests showed there was more damage than previously thought.

Marco Verratti and Alessandro Florenzi have left the Italy squad due to injuries.

The pair won’t be eligible to play against Lithuania on Wednesday and will travel back to Paris, where their physical conditions will be assessed, reports in Italy claim.

Verratti and Florenzi will fly to France tomorrow morning.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Verratti picked up a thigh injury, while Florenzi has suffered muscle fatigue and has been precautionally excluded from the squad.

Italy will fly from Sofia to Vilnius tomorrow morning at 9.45 GMT.
