Jorginho enjoying new Italy

Verratti: ‘Not leaving PSG’

Italy midfielder Marco Verratti is “not thinking about” leaving Paris Saint-Germain, and confirms Sandro Tonali “reminds me of myself a bit”.

The 26-year-old has been in France since 2012, during which time he’s been linked with Barcelona and Juventus, among others.

“I’m not thinking about changing,” Verratti shrugged in today’s Press conference.

Marco Verratti insists “I don’t want to talk about” Giampiero Ventura, but says the World Cup failure wasn’t “entirely his responsibility”.

Italy failed to qualify for the World Cup exactly 12 months ago today, drawing 0-0 with Sweden at San Siro after losing the first leg 1-0.

Former Paris Saint-Germain Coach Laurent Blanc advises Napoli that his former side struggle “when forced to suffer and defend”.

Carlo Ancelotti believes Paris Saint-Germain “can win the Champions League this term,” but Napoli can end those ambitions early.

Verratti ‘arrested for drink-driving’

French sports newspaper L’Équipe reports that Italy international Marco Verratti was arrested for drink-driving on Tuesday night.

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder was allegedly caught driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.49mg/l on the ring road in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

That is more than double the French legal limit of 0.20mg/l, and the newspaper reports via a "police source" that he was put in a sobering cell before being allowed to leave.
