Juventus-Milan: Bonucci to start on the bench

Matthijs de Ligt and Giorgio Chiellini are expected to start against Milan this evening, with Leonardo Bonucci on the bench.

All three Juventus defenders are fit to start, but according to Goal.com and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chiellini and De Ligt will be the starting pair this evening.

Bonucci, a former Milan defender, has played 32 games across all competitions with Juventus so far this season.

Chiellini has played 21 games this term and this could be his last Juventus-Milan.

Bonucci's tiny birthday cake

Leonardo Bonucci celebrated his birthday in the Juventus training camp today, but Merih Demiral was a little stingy with the cake.

The defender turned 34 today and was in the massage room when Demiral turned up to light the candle and present the cake.

As Bonucci noted on his Instagram Stories later, it wasn’t exactly a huge affair.

“Thanks Merih Demiral… will that be enough for everyone?”

Tuttosport suggest more Juventus swap deals, including Leonardo Bonucci for Barcelona's Sergio Busquets or Rodrigo Bentancur to Real Madrid for Marco Asensio.

Juve and Barca already raised eyebrows last summer by exchanging Arthur Melo with Miralem Pjanic, although neither of them made much of an impression at their new teams.

Freiburg have confirmed Vincenzo Grifo is the fourth player from the Italy squad to test positive for coronavirus.

Announcements regarding Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci and Paris Saint-Germain duo Alessandro Florenzi and Marco Veratti had already emerged from the COVID-19 outbreak in the Italy squad during the World Cup Qualifiers.

Reports in Italy revealed there was a fourth player positive for coronavirus and now Freiburg have confirmed winger Grifo has contracted the virus.
