Milan could loan Diawara

Milan are looking to loan Amadou Diawara from Napoli to replace Lucas Biglia, according to reports, but it needs the OK from Carlo Ancelotti.

The Rossoneri have lost Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura to long-term injuries, while Riccardo Montolivo is out in the cold.

While technical director Leonardo would like to address that in January, the club is still awaiting a judgement from UEFA on Financial Fair Play.

According to Tuttosport, the solution could be to loan Diawara from Napoli for six months.

Milan see Sensi as Biglia heir

Sassuolo midfielder Stefano Sensi is an option for Milan in January after Lucas Biglia was ruled out for four months.

Biglia has struggled with a number of injury problems, but few expected his muscular tear to be this serious, so the club has to seek a replacement on the transfer market.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the favourite target is Sassuolo talent Sensi, who has already shown he can work in a 4-3-3 formation as well as 3-5-2 and 4-4-2.

Official: Biglia out for four months

Milan announced Lucas Biglia will be out of action for approximately four months after surgery on a calf muscle tear.

The midfielder has been out since suffering the injury in training a week ago.

Tests confirmed there is a lesion to the area linking the tendon to the right calf muscle.

He went under the knife in Finland, as Professor Sakari Orava was chosen to perform the delicate surgery.

The prognosis is four months.

Milan could be without Lucas Biglia for up to two months, as it’s confirmed he has a torn calf muscle.

The Argentine was injured in the warm-up for Wednesday’s Genoa game, and left San Siro on crutches.

He had scans today which confirmed a lesion to the muscle in his right calf, which will be evaluated again 15 days.

According to Sky though, Biglia could be out for up to two months.

Tiemoué Bakayoko replaced him on Wednesday, but Coach Gennaro Gattuso could well decide to change formation in Biglia’s absence.

Biglia wanted VAR on Nainggolan

Milan midfielder Lucas Biglia gave his version of the coming together with Radja Nainggolan and thought “VAR should’ve paid closer attention.”
