Report: Clearance sale at Torino

Torino are reportedly looking to cash in on some of their squad members, including Kevin Bonifazi, Simone Zaza and Iago Falque.

According to Tuttosport, the Granata could be willing to let as many as five of their first-team players leave this winter.

The newspaper begins by writing a return to SPAL may be on the cards for Bonifazi, although the €20m-rated defender is also being tracked by Bologna and Fiorentina.

'Toro working on Mazzarri renewal'

Torino President Urbano Cairo confirms he has already discussed a renewal with Walter Mazzarri, reassuring the coach “it will happen very soon.”

Torino beat Brescia 4-0 win last weekend to end a run of six games without a win, and Cairo has now moved to ease the pressure on Mazzarri.

“I haven’t thought for one second about replacing him,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I pursued him for many years. Only a month-and-half, two months ago, we were talking about a renewal.

Mazzarri: 'Torino deserved it'

Torino coach Walter Mazzarri still had warnings for his team even after a 4-0 victory away to Brescia. “We sat back at 2-0 up.”

The Granata finally got their first win in six weeks, crushing 10-man Brescia at the Stadio Rigamonti with two Andrea Belotti penalties and a late brace from substitute Alex Berenguer.

“We broke through deservedly and created the situations that would’ve allowed us to score even more goals,” Mazzarri told Sky Sport Italia.

Mazzarri demands 'same Juve spirit'

Torino boss Walter Mazzarri has called on his side to show the same hunger against Brescia as they did in the derby with Juventus last week.

The Granata lost the derby 1-0 to a Matthijs de Ligt goal, but Mazzarri - speaking at his pre-Brescia Press conference - was happy with the performance of his team.

Belotti: 'Toro behind Mazzarri'

Andrea Belotti insists the Torino players are firmly behind coach Walter Mazzarri as “we showed this team are still alive” against Juventus.

Another derby defeat to the Old Lady at the Grande Torino has put Mazzarri under pressure and the Granata are still without a win in Serie A since the 2-1 victory over Milan in late September.

Despite that, Belotti reassured his boss he still had the full support of the club’s dressing room to come through this difficult spell.

Mazzarri: 'Every game like a derby'

Walter Mazzarri is “proud of Torino” after their narrow Derby della Mole defeat to Juventus, “but from now on they must see Bianconeri jerseys on every opponent.”

The Granata put in one of their best performances of the season, but were still beaten 1-0 by Matthijs de Ligt on the knockdown from a corner.

With six defeats in the first 11 games, this is their worst start to a Serie A campaign since their relegation in 2008-09.

Desperate Granata face Derby fears

With the Derby Della Mole this evening, Football Italia Chief Correspondent Richard Hall sees Torino in crisis and even victory over Juventus might not resolve their issues.

Walter Mazzarri wasn’t chewing on a water bottle this time, but his bite was just as bad. At the start of the season, the illustrious Granata looked like they had started to begin a transition from historic and loved members of Serie A, to serious and consistent top six contenders. They have the fan base, the iconic prestige and this season, most thought, a special team.
