Murillo: No Zenit, maybe Bayern

Jeison Murillo has reportedly turned down a move to Zenit, so Bayern Munich step up for the Inter defender.

The Nerazzurri were hoping to sell the Colombia international to Zenit in order to get a discount on Ezequiel Garay.

However, FCInterNews report Murillo put a spanner in the works by refusing a transfer to Russia.

He would prefer to remain at Inter or go to another big club, so Bayern Munich are emerging as an option.

The Germans see Murillo as the ideal replacement for Medhi Benatia if the Moroccan goes to Juventus.

Benatia to Juventus within days

Juventus will reportedly announce Medhi Benatia’s arrival from Bayern Munich over the next few days.

The defender is widely expected to make the transfer on loan with compulsory option to buy for around €18m.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims he’ll sign a four-year contract worth €3m per season.

It should be announced formally on Tuesday or Wednesday,

The 29-year-old only left Roma for Bayern Munich in August 2014, but injuries saw him struggle to give his best.

Juve: Benatia forces Rugani out?

If Juventus sign Bayern Munich's Medhi Benatia, Daniele Rugani will ask to leave for a club such as Roma.

The youngster waited patiently for his moment last season, but he would not tolerate being relegated from fourth to fifth defender in Max Allegri's hierarchies.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, if Benatia is signed from Bayern Munich, Rugani will ask to leave Juventus. This, however, doesn't mean that he would be going for good, as he could still be loaned out.

Juventus close on Benatia

Juventus are closing-in on the signing of Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia, according to reports.

The Bianconeri have been consistently linked with the Moroccan defender this summer, with reports this week that the player had agreed to take a slight wage cut.

That just left the two clubs to negotiate the formula of the transfer, and Gianluca Di Marzio’s website now reports that a deal is very close.

If the move goes through, it’s expected to be a loan with an obligation to buy, with the total value of the transfer set at €18m.

Agent: 'No Benatia talks'

Medhi Benatia’s agent insists “there has been no contact with Roma, but they are a possibility along with Juventus and Inter.”

The Bayern Munich defender is considering a return to Serie A, but a loan will not be suitable.

“Everything the media wrote is completely false,” Moussa Sissoko told LaRoma24.it.

“If Medhi was to leave Bayern, it would be for a definitive move and not on loan.”

Is it true that Roma are in negotiations with Bayern Munich?

Benatia, more Roma than Juve?

Medhi Benatia would prefer a return to Roma than a move to Juventus, but Bayern Munich won’t release him on loan.

Sky Sport Italia claim the Morocco international is eager for a Serie A comeback just two years after his €28m transfer.

While Juve are seeking reinforcements in defence, Roma are stepping up considerably following Luciano Spalletti’s warning the back line needed to be completely reconstructed.

Juve want Benatia with option

Juventus will reportedly only go for Bayern Munich defender Medhi Benatia if it’s a loan with option to buy.

The former Roma defender is valued at around €20m by the German club, but he’s eager to move on in order to get more playing time.

According to Tuttosport newspaper, the Bianconeri are not willing to buy Benatia outright because of concerns around his fitness levels.

The 29-year-old had a series of injury problems this season and made only 14 Bundesliga appearances.

Inter to join Benatia race?

Inter may join the race for Bayern Munich defender Medhi Benatia, who is also targeted by Roma and Juventus.

Benatia is reportedly seeking a return to Serie A, and La Gazzetta dello Sport claims he is willing to accept a pay-cut in order to realise his wish, a situation Inter have been alerted to.

The Nerazzurri will be selling some of their players before buying anyone, and should Jeison Murillo end up leaving the club, it’s plausible that they would then move for the Moroccan.
