Ancelotti: 'More than one Napoli buy'

Carlo Ancelotti insists Mario Rui “is not on the market” and Napoli “could purchase another two big players and not just one” this summer.

The Coach spoke to TV Luna after a 5-0 friendly win over Serie C side Feralpisalò, denying reports Mario Rui was close to FC Porto or Benfica.

“Mario Rui is not on the market and neither is Faouzi Ghoulam, as we have no intention of selling them. They are a strong pair who work well together.”

They went out of the Europa League to Arsenal at the quarter-final stage and have been guilty of lacking motivation in the league in recent weeks, as they sit comfortably in second place.

Speaking before his side’s game with Atalanta this evening, the Algeria International was quick to tell Sky Sport Italia that his teammates are up for the challenge.

Ghoulam: We're all Koulibaly!

Faouzi Ghoulam has asserted that ‘we’ll all be Kalidou Koulibaly’ on Saturday, in a show of support for his embattled Napoli teammate.

Koulibaly was racially abused during Napoli’s 1-0 loss to Inter on Wednesday, but Ghoulam issued a timely rallying cry on the eve of the Partenopei’s match against Bologna.

“The colour of your skin doesn’t matter,” tweeted the left-back.

“Your religion doesn’t matter. The team you support doesn’t matter. Football, like all sports, is a game.

Koulibaly too costly for Man Utd

English papers claim Manchester United are prepared to pay €100m for Kalidou Koulibaly, but that won’t be enough for the Napoli defender.

According to The Times, senior officials spoke to Napoli and were quoted a price-tag of £90m (around €100m).

However, that is considerably lower than the figure floated in the Italian media, which is at least €120m.

That would be for a summer transfer, as any offer to take the Senegal international in January would be doomed to failure.
