Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic made it clear that he wants ‘no excuses’ after the frustrating draw with Cagliari.

The Serbian striker was one of the few bright spots for the Bianconeri in their 2-2 clash with Claudio Ranieri’s side, scoring a direct free kick in the 61st minute to put his side back in the game, earning positive reviews from the Italian newspapers.

Vlahovic has been in strong form for Juventus this season despite their difficulties on the pitch, netting 16 goals and providing three assists across 28 matches. With Massimiliano Allegri likely to leave in the summer, many are hoping the next coach can get more out of the 24-year-old.

Vlahovic takes a stand

Writing on his Instagram page, Vlahovic reflected on Juventus’ disappointing draw with Cagliari, making it clear that he wasn’t interested in diverting responsibility.

“No excuses, no alibi. We need to do better and close this season in the best possible way. We want to win and we want to do it with you.”

Juventus have only managed to pick up two wins in their last 12 Serie A matches, but despite their poor form their Champions League spot doesn’t look at risk.
