Inter win Berlusconi Derby

Geoffrey Kondogbia pounced on a defensive howler as Inter beat Milan for the Trofeo Berlusconi.

This game is usually played in August as a pre-season taster, but was moved to October to coincide with the Expo in the city. Both sides made huge changes and the small crowd at San Siro reflected that so soon after these teams met in the Serie A derby.

Hazard eyes Pogba reunion

Thorgan Hazard said “it’ll be like being kids again” when he faces Paul Pogba in the Champions League.

The Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder, brother of Chelsea star Eden, is looking forward to tomorrow night’s clash with Juventus.

“I played against Pogba when we were both 14 years old. I was at Lens and he at Le Havre,” Hazard told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Mancini: 'Inter-Juve message'

Roberto Mancini said the performance against Juventus “tells Inter if we can stay up there” in the Scudetto race.

Kondogbia: 'Pogba brother-enemy'

Geoffrey Kondogbia said Paul Pogba “is like a brother, but for 90 minutes we’ll be enemies” during Inter v Juventus.

The Derby d’Italia kicks off at San Siro on Sunday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

“This is an important week and a big game against Juventus. We are concentrated on the match and want to win for our fans,” Kondogbia told Inter Channel.

“The break for international duty was important and I think every single day of training we get is precious. We must be ready with our minds and our legs.

Mancini: ‘Important to beat Juventus’

Inter Coach Roberto Mancini admits beating Juventus would be “a big coup and an important thing.”

The Nerazzurri welcome the Turin giants to San Siro after the international break, having not won the home fixture of the Derby d’Italia since 2010.

“Beating Juve would be a big coup, and an important thing,” Mancini told reporters as he attended an event in Montefeltro.

“It’s the Derby d’Italia, I’m sure it will be a great evening between two great teams. Now we have to play like Inter.
