Chelsea linked with Kondogbia

Chelsea may target Inter defensive midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to reports.

The Nerazzurri paid €31m for the Frenchman in summer 2015, but he has been unhappy with the lack of playing time in the current campaign.

This may be resolved with the introduction of new Inter boss Stefano Pioli, as the 23-year-old was openly criticised by ex-boss Frank de Boer.

It remains to be seen whether Kondogbia willl leave in January or be revived under Pioli.

Inter paid €31m to sign Kondogbia from AS Monaco in the summer of 2015, although that figure is expected to rise to nearly €40m with bonuses added in.

‘Kondogbia? We’ll see…’

Geoffrey Kondogbia’s agent says “it’s not the right time to talk about the transfer market” but doesn’t rule-out an Inter exit.

This season has seen the 23-year-old make just four starts, leading to rumours he could leave the club in January.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Marseille are among the clubs thought to be interested, and Kondogbia’s agent refused to rule out a move.
