Parolo: 'Penalised by new decree'

Lazio’s Marco Parolo has accused the Italian government of discriminating against footballers after solo sports were allowed to resume earlier.

Italy will begin Phase Two of its coronavirus response on May 4, but whereas individual sports such as tennis and swimming can resume training on that date, football and the like must wait until at least the 18th of next month.

“Lazio have 5/6 pitches to train on and we can distance ourselves without being close,” Parolo told Lazio Style Radio.

Jony ran riot with Cremonese as Lazio comfortably beat the Serie B side 4-0 in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia.

The Spanish winger was involved in all three goals from open play as Lazio had no trouble against the squad from the second tier.

Patric and Marco Parolo found the net during the first half, as Ciro Immobile added his 109th goal for the Biancocelesti in the second half.

Patric arrived first to a loose ball in the middle of the box after a low cross from Jony at the left and sent Lazio ahead after 10 minutes at the Olimpico.
