Maurizio Sarri wasn’t always a 4-3-3 tactician, as Elio Salerno goes into a deep dive on what form his new-look Juventus will take.

Now that the speculation is finally over, we can begin considering what Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus will actually look like.

It is widely recognised that the outgoing Chelsea boss favours the 4-3-3 formation. It is the system Sarri deployed whilst at Napoli and continued to use during his single season in the Premier League. Juve have regularly used the same shape under Max Allegri, so it would come as no surprise to see their new tactician maintain that set-up. However, stubborn Sarri has not always been married to that ideology.

Suarez: 'I was in denial on Chiellini'

Uruguay international Luis Suarez admits he was “in denial” after biting Giorgio Chiellini’s shoulder during the 2014 World Cup and needed psychological help.

The incident occurred during a group game, which saw Italy lose 1-0, but it could’ve been very different with VAR, as Suarez got away with his attack on the defender.

“My wife asked me what happened and I told her we simply collided. I did not accept the reality, I was in denial, and that was a big mistake,” confessed Suarez on Fox Sports.

Chiellini: 'Italy kept playing our football'

Giorgio Chiellini believes the comeback win over Bosnia-Herzegovina is “an important step forward for Italy, because didn’t lose our heads and continued playing our football.”

Edin Dzeko had given Bosnia the half-time lead, but Lorenzo Insigne scored a sensational volley from a corner, then set up Marco Verratti’s winning strike.

Manolas: 'Greece will beat Italy'

Kostas Manolas believes Greece will beat Italy in a Euro 2020 qualifier, he’s ready to face Roma teammate Nicolò Zaniolo, but won’t rule out a Juventus move.

The Azzurri face the Greeks in Athens tomorrow night in Euro 2020 qualifying and the big defender was confident about his country’s chances.

“I know Italy very well, but I’m thinking about my own team, everything depends on us,” he said at his Press conference while on international duty.

Chiellini: 'Italy attack helps defence'

Giorgio Chiellini believes Italy defensive improvements are because “if we have the ball, the opposition can’t score” ahead of their Euro 2020 qualifier with Greece.

The Azzurri travel to Athens tomorrow night and the veteran defender was asked about the fact that Roberto Mancini’s Italy have now put together four consecutive clean sheets.

“If we have the ball, then the opposition can’t score,” said the Juventus captain at a Press conference.

Chiellini: I'd hate Conte at Inter!

Giorgio Chiellini admits he would ‘hate’ to see Antonio Conte at Inter but believes Juventus have a ‘higher power’ in Cristiano Ronaldo.

Conte had been linked with returning to Juve as Max Allegri’s replacement, but the former Chelsea boss looks set to take the reins at Inter – regarded as the Old Lady’s fiercest rivals.

“You have no idea how many messages I receive every day about the Juve Coach,” Chiellini told Tuttosport.

Chiellini: Juve will miss Allegri

Giorgio Chiellini says ‘all of Juventus will miss’ Max Allegri and does not rule out the Coach coming back one day.

Allegri led Juve to five straight Scudetti and two Champions League Finals during his five-year tenure, and Chiellini paid tribute to the outgoing Coach.

“I’ll see him sometimes in Livorno or hear from him,” the defender told reporters.

“He knows how to defuse things, he’s given us so much and he’ll be remembered.

Chiellini to miss Atalanta

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini will miss Sunday’s Serie A match against Atalanta with a calf injury.

Sky Sport Italia reports Chiellini did not train on Thursday due to a problem in his left calf.

Consequently, the 34-year-old will not take part during Juve’s Scudetto celebrations.
