Mazzarri: 'Torino had two penalties'

Walter Mazzarri questioned the lack of intervention from VAR over two Torino penalty appeals. “We played on a par with Juventus.”

The Granata were eventually beaten by a Cristiano Ronaldo spot-kick, awarded when Mario Mandzukic pounced on a poor Simone Zaza back-pass and was brought down by Ichazo.

However, when it was still 0-0, Toro had two of their own appeals waved away for a push on Andrea Belotti as he jumped and Alex Sandro manhandling Zaza.

Line-ups: Torino-Frosinone

Torino start with Simone Zaza and Andrea Belotti as a front two, as they kick-off the Serie A weekend against Atalanta.

Tonight though he has fielded his two main goalscoring threats as the tip of his 3-5-2 formation.

The visitors have opted for a 3-4-3 shape, and boast former Toro man Cristian Molinaro in their side.
