Milan squad for Europa League

Milan have registered a squad for the group stages of Europa League 2020-21 without any big surprises.

All are in for the Rossoneri and Stefano Pioli has included many youngsters from the reserves ahead of the group stage matches against Celtic, Sparta Prague and LOSC Lille.

Milan start with an away match in Scotland against the Scottish champions on October 22.

Report: Laxalt leaves Milan

Diego Laxalt has travelled to Scotland this morning to complete his loan move from Milan to Celtic.

The South American full-back has two years left on his contract at San Siro but seems set for another spell on loan, having returned from a stint at Torino in the first half of 2019-20.

MilanNews reveals the 27-year-old, who joined Milan from Genoa in August 2018, left Milan this morning, heading for Glasgow to complete his dry loan to the Scottish giants.

The Uruguayan defender is set to complete his move to the Scottish Premiership today.

Milan ask Celtic for Ajer

Milan are back in talks with Celtic for defender Kristoffer Ajer, according to reports in Italy and Scotland, for a loan with option to buy.

The 22-year-old Norway international spent most of his career in Scotland, joining Celtic in 2016.

Both the Herald and Times Sport and Calciomercato.com maintain Milan have again put Ajer on their radar, having already been linked with him in January.

It is also noted that a formal approach has not yet been made, so these are still early days.

Serie B: Lecce sign Henderson

Lecce have officially announced the permanent signing of Scottish midfielder Liam Henderson from Hellas Verona.

The midfielder has joined the Giallorossi on a deal until June 2024, having recently returned to Verona from a loan stint at Empoli in the second tier.

“US Lecce announce the permanent transfer of the footballer Liam Henderson from Hellas Verona,” the club wrote in a statement.

“The player, who has already undergone the medical examinations, has signed a four-year contract.”

Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero warns he ‘won’t give away’ defender Omar Colley, amid Celtic, West Ham and Leicester City interest.

The Gambia international has an asking price of at least €10m and that seems to be inflexible.

“Why should I just give Colley away?” Ferrero told the Secolo XIX newspaper.

Sabatini: 'Hickey is a Bologna player'

Director Walter Sabatini confirms ‘Aaron Hickey will be a Bologna player’ after striking a deal with Hearts for €2m (£1.78m). 'He realised it was the best choice.'

There had been strong reports in Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and more that Bologna had won the race, beating Bayern Munich and Celtic.

“I am pleased to announce that Aaron Hickey will be a Bologna player,” director of sport Walter Sabatini told The Sunday Post.
