Strinic set for Milan exit

Milan left-back Ivan Strinic has reportedly reached agreement over the termination of his contract.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the release was clinched during a meeting between the player and club yesterday.

ANSA is running a similar line, although it stresses talks are still ongoing.

Strinic only joined Milan from Sampdoria last summer, signing a two-year deal, but failed to make any appearances after a heart problem came to light.

Parma ask after Laxalt and Strinic

Parma are in negotiations with Milan to take Diego Laxalt and Ivan Strinic, but are still discussing the details.

Sky Sport Italia confirm Ducali representatives met with Milan today to ask after full-backs Laxalt and Strinic, who are not part of Coach Marco Giampaolo’s plans for this season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Laxalt is the main target and could make the move to the Stadio Tardini on loan with obligation to buy for a total of €12m.

Milan propose players for Veretout

Milan offered several players as part of the Jordan Veretout deal, although Napoli and Roma remain interested in the Fiorentina midfielder.

Directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara did not speak to the media after leaving the encounter, while Fiorentina board member Joe Barone only told Sportitalia they were “working on it.”

According to Sportitalia, Milan have offered cash plus one of the following players: Ivan Strinic, Diego Laxalt, Lucas Biglia, Fabio Borini and Patrick Cutrone.

Strinic: 'Bad Milan training'

Milan defender Ivan Strinic admits they “had a terrible training session, but want to give our all and win” against Genoa.

Gennaro Gattuso, who is suspended and in the stands today, said in his Press conference that the Rossoneri had never trained so badly.

“We want to give our response to the Coach on the field,” Strinic told Milan TV.

Paqueta & Strinic in Milan squad

Lucas Paqueta and Ivan Strinic are in the Milan squad for Saturday’s Coppa Italia last-16 tie with Sampdoria, but Suso misses out.

Paqueta is in line to make his Milan debut after completing his switch from Flamengo, while Strinic has been given the all-clear to resume his career following his recovery from a heart problem.

However, Suso – who was already suspended for the game – has reportedly suffered a recurrence of the fitness issues that ruled out him out of the Rossoneri’s 0-0 draw with Frosinone on Boxing Day.

Strinic: ‘Thought I’d have to stop’

Milan defender Ivan Strinic admits “I was afraid I’d have to stop playing football”, but has now set a target for his return to the pitch.

The Croatian signed for the Rossoneri in the summer, but he was diagnosed with cardiac hypertrophy and ordered to spend three months on the sidelines.

This week the left-back finally returned to training, and he reflected on his experience in an interview with Sky.

“I've never had anything like this in my life and it's normal to be afraid,” Strinic admitted.

Official: Strinic gets all-clear

Ivan Strinic has officially been given the all-clear to resume training with Milan from Monday after test on his heart condition.

The Croatia international had arrived over the summer as a free agent from Sampdoria, but is yet to make his Rossoneri debut.

That is because pre-season medicals flagged up a cardiac irregularity that required further investigation and treatment.

Strinic: ‘Ready to return for Milan’

Milan full-back Ivan Strinic reveals “I’ll start training again on Monday” after being diagnosed with cardiac hypertrophy.

The Croatian joined the Rossoneri in the summer, but after reaching the World Cup final with Croatia he started pre-season late.

He was then diagnosed with a heart condition and he has been on the sidelines ever since.

“What happened three months ago was like a bolt from the blue,” Strinic told 24Sata.
