'Koulibaly? Napoli too small'

Kalidou Koulibaly's agent claims Napoli are 'too small' as a club for his player.

The defender is performing well for the Partenopei and is undergoing negotiations to extend his contract, currently due to expire in 2019.

The club would like to keep him for a longer time, perhaps with a higher salary, but his agent's interview won't be helpful from a diplomatic point of view.

Deschamps' Koulibaly gaffe

France manager Didier Deschamps said he’ll consider calling up Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly – who is a Senegal international.

The gaffe was committed during an interview with Canal+ today.

“There is a lot of competition for places, for example Mathieu of Barcelona, Koulibaly at Napoli.”

While Koulibaly was born in France and played for Les Bleus at Under-20 level, he opted to play his international football for Senegal.

As K2 already has five caps under his belt for Senegal, he is no longer eligible for France.

“The last time I went there was to see Kalidou’s son. Even though it’s early to talk about a renewal, the Neapolitans should be calm.

The €50,000 fine and bans locking down the Curva Nord, Distinti Tevere Lato Nord and Distinti Monte Mario Lato Nord sections therefore stand.
