Agent: 'Napoli lack leaders'

Kevin Malcuit's agent claims Napoli lack leadership figures since Pepe Reina's departure. "Kalidou Koulibaly is too nice."

Bruno Satin spoke to Radio Marte about not just Malcuit's recovery from injury, but also about the general problems surrounding Napoli and his other client, Koulibaly.

"Everyone should just take a step forward. The problem is that there are no strong personalities in the group. Reina was the leader of the team and he was the last. He was a boss, the one with the guts to stand up to the club.

Koulibaly: 'Napoli is my home'

Amid more Manchester United speculation, Kalidou Koulibaly wrote a love letter to Napoli.

While the British media continue to peddle the idea the Senegal international is pushing for a transfer to Old Trafford, he sent a special message via social media.

Alongside a photograph of himself looking out over the Bay of Naples, Koulibaly wrote this text.

“This is where my children were born.

“This is where I grew up as a man and a player.

“This is where my family and I feel at home. #Napoli ”

Napoli players fear 'revenge attacks'

Napoli players are reportedly hiring bodyguards and living in fear of 'revenge attacks' from their own fans after Allan and Piotr Zielinski were victims of crime.

This week, 13 of the Partenopei players are on international duty with their respective countries, which will give President Aurelio De Laurentiis time to work on a fine, potentially up to 25 per cent of their salary.

In the aftermath of the player’s refusal to attend a training retreat last week, they are now also living in fear of being attacked by their own ultras.

Mertens to lead Napoli exodus?

Napoli are reportedly planning a mass exodus, which could start with Dries Mertens to Inter in January.

Napoli are in full-blown crisis mode after no wins in their last five games, exacerbated by the squad’s refusal to go on a punitive training camp.

With that in mind, Gazzetta dello Sport writes Mertens and Callejon will be the first to go.

Callejon should be China-bound, linking up with Marek Hamsik and Rafa Benitez at Dalian Yifang.

ADL: Callejon, Mertens, Koulibaly...

Aurelio De Laurentiis warns Jose Callejon and Dries Mertens will be ‘sellouts’ if they leave Napoli for China and admits “I’ll sell Kalidou Koulibaly” one day.

Callejon and Mertens have been heavily linked with moves to China, given their Napoli contracts expire at the end of the season, and De Laurentiis made it clear he was not a fan of their potential destination.

“I’m absolutely not prepared to make a major effort for them,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

Koulibaly: No racism at Napoli

Kalidou Koulibaly believes there is no racism at Napoli as their fans “could never have written a letter like the one Inter supporters sent Romelu Lukaku.”

Racism remains a serious issue in Italian football, with Koulibaly among those subjected to monkey chants from rival sets of fans over the years.

However, Inter ultras defended their Cagliari counterparts when the latter abused Lukaku, despite the striker being one of their own.
