Lotito must sell Salernitana by June 25

The FIGC has decided that Salernitana patron Claudio Lotito has until June 25 to sell the club, as he is also the owner of Lazio.

Lotito’s other club secured promotion from Serie B this term and Lotito can’t own two clubs in the same division, thus will be forced to sell one of the two.

The Federal Council in Rome have decided Lotito must sell the newly promoted side by June 25 this summer.

Salernitana will be refused admission to Serie A if the ownership doesn’t change by that date, forcing Lotito to act immediately.

Inzaghi: 'I will discuss with Lotito in nine days'

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi said he will sit down with President Claudio Lotito in ‘eight or nine days’ but was ‘very happy’ after the 1-0 win over Parma.

Ciro Immobile scored far into stoppages to secure three points against newly relegated Parma on Wednesday and keep Lazio in the battle for top four.

“I’m very happy about the win,” Inzaghi told the reporters after the game. “We were very afraid of today’s match.

Lotito must sell Salernitana

Salernitana have gained promotion to Serie A, but their President Claudio Lotito must sell the club within 30 days as it’s forbidden to own two clubs in Italy’s top flight.

Fabrizio Castori’s side have gained promotion to Serie A for the first time in 23 years after a 3-0 win over Pescara on Monday.

FIGC reject Lazio's appeal

The FIGC Court of Appeal reportedly rejected Lazio’s appeal for President Claudio Lotito’s suspension.

News agency ANSA reports the FIGC Court of Appeal imposed 12 months of disqualification on the Lazio President for the violations of the COVID protocol.

The long-awaited sentence of the Court of Appeal of the Federcalcio has therefore arrived in relation to the case of Lazio’s case with the COVID swabs last years.

Lazio set Luis Alberto price-tag

Lazio are reportedly trying to fend off possible suitors and have set a price-tag of €70m for Luis Alberto.

The 28-year-old has re-confirmed his importance at the Olimpico, contributing eight goals and one assist in 29 Serie A games this term.

The former Deportivo La Coruna midfielder moved to Lazio from Liverpool for a reported €4m in August 2016 and has excelled under Simone Inzaghi’s reign.

Report: Inzaghi ready to sign with Lazio

Lazio and Simone Inzaghi have reportedly reached an agreement until June 2024 and are only formalities away from signing the new deal.

Il Messaggero claims patron Claudio Lotito and Inzaghi, who turned 45 yesterday, have agreed terms to continue together in the capital.

Inzaghi has been in charge for 240 games, since April 2016, and helped the Biancocelesti return to the Champions League.

Lazio appeal COVID verdict

Lazio announced they will appeal the sanctions given for ‘violating the COVID protocols’, as President Claudio Lotito was suspended for seven months.

The Aquile released a statement on their official website confirming the intent to appeal the verdict from the National Federal Court, who fined the club €150,000 and suspended the President.

Lazio to meet with Inzaghi during international break

Lazio are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with coach Simone Inzaghi over a new deal until 2023 or 2024.

Corriere della Sera reports the two parties are not in doubt, they want to continue together and are currently in talks over a deal until June 2023 or 2024.

The club currently prepares for tomorrow’s match against Juventus and with a schedule full of important appointments, the newspaper reports the contract renewal has been scheduled for the end of March or the beginning of April.
