Torino in for Badelj?

Torino are reportedly interested in bringing Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj to Turin this winter.

A surprising exit from Fiorentina could be on the cards for Milan Badelj, according to La Stampa.

The Croatian came back to Florence on a loan deal from Lazio and is currently under a contract with the Biancocelesti.

The newspaper claims that Torino has put Badelj’s name down on their list of transfer targets in January and could make an offer, despite the player being a regular at the Viola this term.

Badelj comeback feels right

Milan Badelj is returning to Fiorentina just a year after his free transfer to Lazio, but Steven Moore believes it’s best for all concerned.

Marginally missing out on a top four spot in the 2017-18 Serie A season, Lazio were eager to make their goal of Champions League football become reality the following year. To ensure their success, the Biancocelesti invested heavily, making several acquisitions in the summer transfer window to reinforce their squad. One of those new additions, Milan Badelj, seemed an outstanding move by management.

Badelj close to Fiorentina return

Lazio midfielder Milan Badelj is reportedly closing in on a return to Fiorentina.

According to Corriere dello Sport, talks are at an advanced stage, although whereas Fiorentina want him back on loan, Lazio prefer a permanent transfer of €6-8m.

The 30-year-old left the Viola to join the Aquile on a free transfer last summer and won a Coppa Italia in his debut campaign, although he started just 16 times in all competitions.

He helped his side beat Bournemouth 4-3 on Saturday but now looks like missing their friendly with Paderborn this afternoon.
