Pioli: 'Mandzukic is ready'

Milan coach Stefano Pioli said Mario Mandzukic is ‘physically well and thus called up’ for the match against Atalanta. ‘He fit in well immediately’.

Mandzukic returned to Serie A this week and signed on a free transfer with the Rossoneri, and Pioli said the former Bianconeri is ‘physically very well’ and ‘ready’ to be in the squad.

“Mario fit in well immediately,” Pioli said at a press conference. “He has already worked in Italy and has a modern, European mentality.

Mandzukic: 'I'm ready for this challenge'

Mario Mandzukic said he’s ‘ready for this challenge’ and hailed the atmosphere at Milan. ‘I have seen several games and I like their spirit’.

The Croatian has signed on a free transfer and returns to Serie A, one year after he left Juventus for Qatari side Al-Duhail.

Fitness coach reveals when Mandzukic will be ‘100% fit’

Mario Mandzukic’s personal fitness coach Luka Milanovic reveals why the Croat chose Milan and says the striker will be 100% fit in ‘two or three weeks.’

Mandzukic has joined Milan as a free agent. He played his last competitive game in March 2020 with Qatar club Al-Duhail.

Juve ultras message for Mandzukic

Mario Mandzukic joined Milan today and returned to Serie A, so Juventus ultras wished him ‘six happy months – without victories’ and he replied with ‘pride’ at their praise.

The striker spent five years in Turin before leaving for Al-Duhail in January 2020 and became a fan favourite due to his goals, assists and remarkable work ethic.

This was evident in a message sent by the Curva Sud Juventus 1897 group on Instagram.

Mandzukic: 'An honour to join Milan'

Mario Mandzukic thanked Milan ‘for the opportunity to join this great club’ and vowed to ‘give my best’ to help the team succeed.

Milan are top of Serie A after 18 games and Mandzukic has joined to help ease the load in attack, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic returning to the starting line-up for the first time since November, but with another brace, against Cagliari.
