Sarri: 'Juve and 10-12 teams'

Maurizio Sarri wants Juventus to “enjoy our football” against Atletico Madrid. “There are 10-12 Champions League teams with the same resources as us.”

It kicks off on Wednesday at the Wanda Metropolitano at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

“Miralem Pjanic is available, he trained regularly with the group today and we’ll see if he starts or not,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

Juve won the last eight Serie A titles in a row, but see the Champions League as something of an obsession.

Juve: Pjanic fit for Atleti

Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic has been passed fit to face Atletico Madrid tomorrow evening.

Pjanic limped off during Juve’s 0-0 draw with Fiorentina on Saturday and was a doubt for the trip to Atleti.

However, the Bosnian was confirmed as travelling with the squad to Madrid, where the Bianconeri open their account in this season’s Champions League.

On the other hand, the same cannot be said for injured trio Giorgio Chiellini, Douglas Costa and Mattia De Sciglio.

Juve suffer Costa blow

Juventus will be without Douglas Costa for the next two weeks, but Miralem Pjanic should be fit to face Atletico Madrid.

Costa and Pjanic both limped off during Juve’s 0-0 draw with Fiorentina on Saturday.

The Bianconeri have now confirmed in a medical report that the winger suffered “a medium-grade thigh injury”.

It adds he will be reassessed in two weeks, possibly ruling him out of the Derby d’Italia with Inter on October 6.

There's something about Sami

Sami Khedira was meant to be the first Juventus player out the door this summer, but Elio Salerno notes the German keeps coming back.

Juventus fans could be forgiven for having a sense of déjà vu at the beginning of the new season. When the team news was announced prior to their opener at Parma, it was a starting XI that had a very familiar feel about it. A team that was more Max Allegri than that of new boss Maurizio Sarri.

Juventus can tame Rabiot

The often fiery Frenchman joined Juventus on a free transfer and Vilizar Yakimov thinks Adrien Rabiot will be the missing piece of the midfield puzzle.

Adrien Rabiot might be only 24 years old, but it really seems that he has been around for a while. Standing at 188cm, the Frenchman possesses a colossus-like physique, which allowed him to start his professional career very early.

Prior to his move to Turin, Rabiot spent seven years at Paris Saint-Germain and registered 227 appearances for the French giants. The powerful midfielder made his senior debut for the club under Carlo Ancelotti in 2012 and has also represented his country at all levels starting from the U16’s.
